...D:

Judging from the samples, these are some of the WORST remixes I've EVER heard. :|

And I'm not exaggerating. :|

edit: I like the Chocolat one, actually, before the chorus (The chorus part sounds boring). But I wouldn't listen to the other ones again if you paid me.

Absolutely.

Chocolat remix sounded weird to me with the trial listening, but it turned to be so nice, and it's made by Hora.

Ryouran is re-recorded, if I'm right. Dont know but it sound very moi dix mois - ish to me. It's not danceable but so cool to listen.

Silvery Dark is the best track. I think it's because I hated the ballad version. In addition to that, it counts as a new song because of the arrangement.

In general, I loved it.

Is there a chance you could ask your friend to share them  ?

I heard the samples, and I agree 150% with Amatsu. Except that I don't even like Chocolat more than the rest (I must say I have never liked the original version of that song very much). Those remixes are horrible... I hope it was his first and last attempt at releasing remixed songs.

releasing remixes is a horrible idea anyway in my opinion, it's hard to come across a remix that's actually good.

There's no reason for remixes to be bad, but they always are. The problem is that people don't make them because they have some brilliant new inspiration for a song, they just make them for the $$$. I don't think I've ever liked a remix of anything.

EDIT: I take that back. I like Kozi's different mixes of ILLUMINATI and Memento. But Kozi is one of the few artists out there that keeps things real.

I like a few remixes, for instance the 'Totally Rude Remix' of Polite Dance Song by The Bird and The Bee is really good...

And I like some of Ayumi Hamasaki remix albums, but mostly just for dancing.

But I agree, most are just bullshit.

Sorry to tell you Gen but in the last interview he said that he wanted to remix everything he's done up until now (although he's been doing it since Day 1 XD)

I've got to say I like the samples, I mean, at first they are shocking (actually, most of Kaya's songs shocked me at first) but after a few listens I love them ^^, I'm dying to hear the full songs >_<

Ok maybe not you, but like everyone else here at scape cause it seems like the only thing they have done the latest 1,5 years have been complaining. Don't you get that Kaya have had 2 promotions years?? That's why he have done so little and strange things.. Just to attract a wider target of people. I think it's in this way.

Hey, I support the guy, I flew across the country to see him both times he was here in the US, and buy all his albums with stupid blind faith. You can bet the instant this is available in the US I'm gunning for it. I do what I can as a fan of his music, but at this point, buying from scalpers on Japanese auctions is not doing him any favours. =/ Besides, the last time it was seen on auction was about three weeks ago.

Yeah seriously. Why's everyone being so negative about this thread
It seems like we get into this fight on every thread in Scape every year and then people get angry and start going "OMG are you calling me a fangirl!?!?" and there is drama.

Anyway, it seems he has less fans now so his 1.5 years of promotional chansons might need to come to a close soon.

(PS The best remixes I've heard are Dead or Alive)

OMFG Dead or alive?? I wanna listen to them...*goes to ares*.

On the other hand, yeah, ppl here sometimes gets bitchy and moany, but that's understandable. I think the reason for this is bcause there's nothing else to talk about the artist, so...yeah, Kaya HAS to start producing more...

I agree that this is probably the case, it just bothers me a lot to see the same "This is [going to be] terrible" response to/about every release.
