Uuummm how he acts is not of a rock star, Alice Cooper is a rock star.......nice guy you could ever meet. There's a difference between being a rock star (which I don't think Kiwamu has even had such a career to deserve to be) and being an asshole to your fans & the people you work with.+Rei Bathory+ wrote:Therefore, he's singled out and treated like shit for acting like a fucking rock star!
That link flowersofnight posted which was on Kiwamu's actual facebook and also it says that alot of artists are still signed o Darkest Labyrinth when they're not (Noir D'Soleil, Spectrum-X, Angelspit, 2 Bullet, Vanished Empire and of course GPK).Jareth, I'd really like some legit proof that Kiwamu told GPK to eat shit and die, because he's still with Darkest Labyrinth and there is nothing on any label related website or facebook page about Kiwamu leaving GPKISM...
I have listened (and owned) a few BLOOD albums and of course heard the songs he wrote for GPKISM, and I don't find him a strong songwriter (and his work with GPKISM proved that). I'm sadly not a Mana fanboy , I'm a Közi fanboy. Considering you think him such a genius you don't mind sharing his music freely via your blog (I just remember why I remember your name.....and that you complained about Scape (on a post about the Blam Honey demo) before). If any of you had ever bothered to listen to more than two of Kiwamu's songs you'd realize what a good song writer he really is... 90% of BLOOD's music is written by him entirely, not to mention that every GPKISM song that is in Japanese is written and composed by him and him alone... In my opinion (which I realize probably doesn't mean much to a bunch of Mana fanboys and girls) he's a genius and he doesn't get nearly enough credit for all that he does...
Another early contender: the first time I heard of the "OMG a VK band overseas" thing was Duel Jewel in 2002, I think they were the first VK band ever booked to a con.Geisha wrote:According to their website, Blood first went abroad in 2003. Eve of Destiny went in 1999.
Seriously, he's even been to jail over his angry XD Too lazy to find the link for that right now but he totally hasAnd if you seriously think that Kiwamu's outbursts are normal, Japanese or not, then I feel sorry for you.
Telling fans he won't sign any CD's that weren't bought at live shows (this was told to me by Spectrum-X), Refusing to let GPK take photos with fans, grabbing a fan's camera and throwing it across the room, stopping a performance mid-performance, hitting someone with a microphone (this was posted on the GPKISM myspace by Kiwamu himself).....need I say more. BLOOD wasn't the first as has been noted before in comments above and other Japanese have had some oversea success before BLOOD, like Blam Honey had some success in the overseas Industrial scene. Also when BLOOD came and did their europe shows (like the one at a Brimingham Anime show, that rarely anyone who liked Japanese music went to) Japanese Rock already had a following in western countries.+Rei Bathory+ wrote:Kiwamu treats his fans like shit? How so? Because he called some fucking troll a "Shit foreigner"? Let me verse you a little bit in Japanese culture, darling... The Japanese are quite possibly the most racist nation on earth and it doesn't surprise me when he comes out with outbursts like that... You do realize that if it weren't for Kiwamu and BLOOD most of these bands that travel to Europe and North America wouldn't have a fucking chance at succeeding, they did it first! Not to mention that Kiwamu is one of the few and far between that includes translations to his songs in most of his booklets... Who is that for? Him? Um, no. He is all about his fans!
I've only ever downloaded live bootlegs, unavailable releases and the latest GPKISM releases (as I refuse to support Kiwamu, which I am sorry to GPK for) from your blog, I buy my music thank you.And I have distributed BLOOD and GPKISM music on my blog, yes, but if I remember correctly, you didn't have much of a problem taking that and other uploads that I've done... I remember you well, Jareth. The only time you ever commented was when you were taking my uploads... heh... And yeah, I've bashed this forum and will continue to do so, because I think your absurd amount of rules and double standards are ridiculous... I will not be returning here.
We'll try and manage without you+Rei Bathory+ wrote:I will not be returning here.
I sort of like it when they don't add a translation for the lyrics Makes it feel more unique and not so adjusted to the west.Geisha wrote:Oh, and most Japanese bands who release in Europe on Gan-Shin, CLJ or Wasabi include lyric translations. It's pretty standard nowadays. I'm not belittling Kiwamu's achievements, but they're hardly unique.
