So, I was listening to the Kneuklid Romance album "Love Song" just now and I was wondering... Does anyone have an conclusive information about this band? Specifically, was Kami an actual member at one point or was he just a support drummer? After he left Gaz joined (and then went of to The Night Breeze Zinnia which was really quite good, in my opinion) but it never really seemed to me that he was the official drummer... He always seemed like he was just sitting in with them. Anyone have any concrete dates for this?

    Just wondering~

(And on the subject of Kami, anyone have any more specifics about 3P Mayonaise? Like who the vocalist was or any of the other members? Their demotape was surprisingly long, although the songs were fairly simple and quite Girl'e-esque ::k:: )

He was definitely a real member for a little while. Remember this flyer from late '92?

    http://www.prideofmind.com/data/kneuklidflyer.jpg

As for 3P Mayonaise, does anyone even have confirmation that the alleged demotape is really of them? XD I've never seen a real copy of it, or any information about them besides that they apparently existed.

Ah, that's right! I forgot about this flyer~ I remember in the CD he was given credit as the drummer but his picture wasn't really there.

As for 3P Mayonaise, I'd like to know too. The drumming sounds a lot different from any of Kami's other songs (I just kind of chalked it up to the fact that it was a punk rock band rather than a different genre) and the only assurance I got was from Kurai when I bought the copy of the tape from him. I've never actually seen the official tape for sale, but I think we've all heard the MP3s. If I find out it's not really 3P Mayo, I'll probably delete them because I don't really like it that much... The vocalist sounds like he's stiffling a sneeze or trying to hold back a yawn through, well, the whole tape.

Whoa. I might pick that up just for the remastered demo - the copy I have isn't the best quality.
I can't believe that second song is actually named "Masturbation My Self Service" though, totally doesn't fit the music. ::kozi::

EDIT: I also see on CDJapan that Kisaki of all people is producing a new Kneuklid Romance single, to be released in June ::kisaki::

yes, that's the link. it sucks that one has to pay for the memorial + 2 versions of the same single in order to get the dvd. that's kisaki's label after all.

Did anyone else get this, by any chance? I preordered this box thingy when it first came out and the 2 singles because I wanted the present DVD, but it turned out that the DVD was a thing where you had to mail in proofs of purchase... blah... So I'm still waiting for the DVD.

Disc 1 of the box set is AWESOME!!!! People who liked the Love Song mini-album will really like this CD a lot. Songs that stand out to me were Flowers, Sing for ...You, and Torikage no naka no Kanojyo (The girl in the birdcage)

Disc 2 was pretty good, though not nearly as memorable. It has it's songs, but for the most part, I leave it as just ok for the time being.

Disc 3 is the high quality demotape (no lyrics insert) and, I'm sorry FlowersofNight, the song is in fact titled "Masturbation My Self Service" (and the vocalist says in English "Love you my baby, my service on myself" towards the end of the song)

Disc 4 is Kisaki's band doing a tribute song called Fantastic Idea. I listened to it once and haven't been thus motivated to listen again.

Shine really took me by surprise because it was so... electronic o_O It wasn't what I was expecting at all and it took a while before I could start to enjoy that single. Dreamy Heaven is kind of catchy, but it's very poppy. Wall is a little forgetable, but it's not bad.

All in all, this is definately made for fans as kind of a "Last Celebration" kind of thing. I'm waiting on that DVD to make final judgements, but so far, it's been worth it for Disc 1 and Disc 4.

No one can get it, there's no way to order it outside Japan XD
I want one for the "Puzzle" and demotape stuff, but...

And you totally need to upload the DVD if there's any Kami footage o-o/

    If there's no footage of Kami, I'm going to be mad, because I ordered this box of stuff for that DVD... The only thing I got from ordering it from Kisaki directly was an instrumental disc of all three tracks of the SHINE single which I have yet to listen to ^^;

But rest assured, as soon as I get it, I'll upload it (or send it to someone willing to host it on a more permanent location than SendSpace)

btw, it looks like the Phantom of the 10th Year box set WILL be available as of next month~ I found it here on Amazon and it's also here on CDJapan.

I don't know why it's being released there so late o_O I've had it since June...

Digging another thread up from the dead, but I just found this clipping in my archive relating to the band, with a photo of GAZ and thought it pertinent to share with you all.
