Finally I decieded to open a thread to my favourite J-Group: Lareine!

What do you think of Lareine?

I made my first encounter with their song "Fierte to umi to tomo ni kieyu" and was amazed.

They sound very interesting and I already own their "NEVER CAGE - DELUXE EDITION".

Does anybody know if something new is planned by Lareine?

I love them, though I just Know 2 pf their CDs. They have a really beautiful visual style and the music is just beautiful. I checked their site yesterday, but there seems not to be something new...

Which Cds do you know? I think I read something about a tribute CD to Lareine but, as far as it seems, only available by SHOXX order.
I think a good CD to begin to listen to Lareine is: "Fierte to umi to tomo ni kieyu - THE LAST OF ROMANCE" because it was the only full album with Machi on drums.
Never Cage is good to start with Kazumis drum activitys. The title track "Never Cage" (09:47) is awesome. It's in my opinion the masterpiece of Lareine together with "Fierte to umi to tomo ni kieyu" and "Grand Pain".
But one thing is really bad with Lareine:
These special concert giveaways. I mean: It's a great idea but when they only release their 10th anniversary on DVD and give it only at the live in Shibuya O-EAST at the 30.06.05 away it sucks. ( I hope it was understandable)

Lareine rules the school. I saw the PV Billet and immediately bought the single. Unfortunately that's all I have but I did get to listen to Never Cage.

And they reming me oldschool Malice sometimes :D

But in my oppinion their music style is sometimes too near to bad taste... I don't know how to express it in english... They are walking on a thin line XD

I'm downloading new stuff from them now so I'm gonna listen more

Romantic Rock :p (at least that's how I view it)

I've been a fan of Lareine for a while and they are quite unique I think. Their concept is very good and they're amoung the best in VK still.

I am a big fan ^^
It looks weird that now it is trendy to say that you like LAREINE. In France, LAREINE is THE band to criticize (Kamijo's voice seems to be real pain for many people listening to VK here.... ^^;)

But to me they are unique, original, and really creative. They created their own concept, their own microcosm, and this is really rare and precious in music, whatever kind of music.

Anyway, I am happy to see that Lareine Fleurs become more numerous everyday... ^^ It can only be a good thing. :D

An audio sample is worth a thousand words. Lareine's newly redesigned website has samples from nearly all their releases in the last couple of years.

As for my opinion, I've been a fan since early '99 and have seen them 31 times so far. Can't get enough. :D

Aside from concert dates, the only news is of the upcoming tribute CD.

(snipped from BBS posts I made elsewhere)
Under Code Production is releasing a Lareine tribute CD "Anamorphosis". It's limited mail-order sale through Shoxx. Orders will be taken from 4/21 until 6/03, and will be shipped in July. It's 2,625 yen. (plus 700 yen S+H)

Planned songs:
* Jyui: "Urei no Hana ga tsuzuru ai"
* 12012: "Dir en gray"
* Izabel Varosa: "Destinee"
* And Lareine is contributing a new song (not specified) plus their own version of the song Kamijo wrote for Kisaki Project "Chinmoku no Hane".

(The Jyui and 12012 songs will be produced and arranged by Kisaki)

I have one song of theirs I kind of like, but I haven't heard any others since. Perhaps someone has some suggestions as to what some of the better songs are n.n?

Excellent band. They even did a cd with all these cool bell instrumentals.. Very diverse.
Although I love the New Sodmy stuff better. Very talented none the less. Great visual side to them as well.

Mail-order......D: I was getting hyped up about this cd until I saw mail-order.

Anyways, I've only heard 2 songs of Lareine. Fiancailles and Scarlet Majesty. I <3 Scarlet Majesty. I'll try to listen to them more in the future if I can.

I love you so, Lareine. I can't say much about why I love them, just that I do. One of the first j-bands I listened to and I liked them right away.

dimestore hod:

ALL~
Of their songs. Are wonderful. Except Pink no Kasa, but that's entirely IMO. Get any song you can, they're all beautiful. If you're getting a CD, I recommend Fierte no Umi to Tomo ni Kieyu as a first. The story series of Knight, Majesty and Princess are also great.

l love lareine,it's one of my favourite band.
It's full of emotion, and Kamijo's voice is so sweet.
The band has various influences, and their music even if they got their own style, is not repetititive at all.
i recommend Fierte to umi to tomo ni kieyu - THE LAST OF ROMANCE" for songs like Emeraude,Fuyu Tokyo,je t'aime...
Never Cage is also very good.
The new sodmy stuff is a bit different but Kamijo and Mayu Rock!

I love Lareine but I only have a few mp3s and videos so I haven't really seen or heard anything. My favorite song from them that I have heard has to be Lesson and my favorite PV that I've seen has to be Fuyu Tokyo. ^_^ I wish I had money to really buy their stuff though. :/
