Just got in this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-MUSIC-BEHIN ... 53ef7df3a3

With demo tracks from Disney's "Little Mermaid", "Aladdin", and "Beauty and the Beast", all sung by the composers with an old late-80s synthesizer backing them up. Fantastic~ ::squee::

Now listening: "Poor Unfortunate Souls", demo version

^ I hope it's not like Spencer Nilsen 1980s music... *runs*
That sounds so cool though, I hope the Beauty and the Beast songs are good.

My friend's uncle was the voice of Beast in Beauty and the Beast. I'm going to be all over her asking for his autograph momentarily. Maybe I can ask him to yell at me to go to dinner or something.
"YOU COME OUT HERE OR I'LL... BREAK DOWN THE DOOR!!!"
"No."
"FINE... THEN YOU CAN GO AHEAD AND STAAAAARRRVEEEE!!!"

Oh man, I can't wait for this movie! It should be really good! An entire musical all about depressing people being depressed~ Especially looking forward to this song and Master of the House

I've gotta dig up my Japanese copy of this OST and the Phantom of the Opera OST... Those are fun~

And I thought the Chinese communist songs were cool, this is on a whole other level! @_@ It's intense. now if we can just replace his name with mine then it'll be great. When I took my class on Russia with a friend, I liked Russian communist songs too (we had so much fun listening to them while studying), and now I'll have to look into the Peruvian ones. I find these songs fascinating XD

I love "Learn from Lei Feng's Good Example," it's so catchy and makes me want to bop. XDD

"Defend the motherland, hold the gun, study diligently, daily upwards."
My life in a sentence, totally. I don't know why I find it kind of funny that he was killed when telling a car to back up, when it accidentally backed up into a light post and the light post fell and hit him. What a way to die and become a cultural icon.

^ what the children had to sing, it's also catchy.

I love the titles. "The People of the World will Surely be Victorious," "Ode to the Socialist Motherland," "The Sun is the Reddest, Chairman Mao is the Dearest," "Chairman Mao is the Red Sun in Our Hearts," "When the Motherland Calls," etc. ::gaku::

Hopefully you haven't only listened to the Black Album. Enter Sandman and everything since then is The Worst.

AMERICA: Love it or leave it ::foot::
What a list of nerdy songs ::meev:: I donno, do I want soldiers who don't fear death or those who jump up and die? Hmm... (great, the Green Beret song is stuck in my head).

The great one here is the Bonanza one, but that's because I really like Michael Landon. The Davy Crockett song... XD Oh man. Is this the best 'murica has to offer!?

This Shining Path song, "Bandera Roja," is pretty chilling though:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxNI7hLYnfU

It's cool, but kind of scary since it all went downhill and killed many of the people they were fighting for, in horrible ways, and then the state basically went on a witch hunt for all SP members and killed even more people. It's kind of funny how Abimael Guzman, the one who started Shining Path, and the head of Peru's security intelligence Vladimiro Montesinos, are in jail together, haha. They were both terrible.

My dad thought the original message was good though, a lot of people supported it, even the city people, but how it turned out was awful and then the peasants hated SP. No wonder he knows so much about Mao, Lenin, and Stalin, even more than I'm studying! (lol, he's recommending me more songs that SP used right now XD)
