Ok. So, i noticed a small similarity in the melody of these song in the first 29 seconds. eve of destiny - logos (0:17~0:29) and rosetta stone - If only and sometimes (00:00~0:29) ... for me, they sound very alike(in this part), any thoughts ?

I think it happens with music often.
Not always intentional, though.

I like think that sometimes artists are alike in the way they paint, write, or compose their music so you're bound to run into some similarities. Though, like I said, not intentionally.

ps. Rosetta Stone = <3

Oh yes - I can hear a similarity.

Yeah, it does happen sometimes, I have heard it with other artists too - a similar-sounding riff or just a progression that strongly recalls something/someone else.

Incidentally, the bassline in Közi's Honey Vanity remix version really recalls to me the bassline in Mylène Farmer's Maman a tort...

Um, that has like nothing to do with anything...

Yeah, I caught this. I see it being taken from Slayer too, very intentionally. Except Moi Dix Mois is in E standard and I believe (not really sure, but I think it's a pretty good guess) that Slayer would be in D or something. Either way though, those are definitly very similar, and I think Unmoved also shows a sort of Slayer influence in the opening riff too.

You know, my friend Tasha caught the exact same thing from some of the music from Beyond the Gate and a couple other albums I sent her a song or two from. She isnt a jrock fan by any means ((she had no music)) but we both decided to trade music when she realized I dont remember hardly any of the decent american bands from the "good ol days of music XD"

So she sent me a few songs, that i either remembered and went fuzzy nostalgic over or just overall loved... and I sent her a couple M10M songs. Her reaction was "..............I hear some Slayer in here." my response was "No shit. Mana adored slayer." " ......and Motley Crue? I hear that too o__O" "Yup" "well...weird o.o i like it but weird."

XD For me it's no surprise when some of mana's music has a hint of Slayer in it. Or that one riff ((damned if i can remember which song he did it on)) that sounded vaguely Metallica.

i dunno. metal music is difficult in this area. i find similaritys in vain and unmoved in like 204598972957923 bands.

personally, i like it best with moi dix mois. not because they are japanese, or because its mana, but, i just like the elegance they add.

it makes the song more then just guitar and screaming, or evil voice thingy going on. [not death voice]

erm
*guiter
*deth ::kisaki::

the drum/guitar combination in vain is what makes it my favorite song from Moi dix Mois yet. if there was nothing but the guitar and drums i'd still like it. what i like about moi dix mois is that the quitar is easy, but still kicks ass.

malice mizer guitar = hard =[ for me at least

well, that maybe... i haven't listened to sisters for a while, so i can't say right now. they are both gothic rock, so i guess they will sound kind of similar....but one thing i know rosetta > sisters. ::meev::
