Since many people on this forum seem to be ordering packages all the time and I have heard a few members mention carriers before. So which do you prefer and why? Also ones that you don't like as well and any reason for it.

Also I live in the US so I don't know what the regular postal system is like in other countries or if I am missing any other possible carriers.

I voted DHL but honestly FedEx is just as good. Yet I like the bright yellow and red DHL uses, so they win my vote for looking snazzy (laughs).

I don't like UPS, nearly every package I receive from them has always been damaged or open in some way or another. Also their logo suck and their uniforms are the ugliest hahaha! At my work the two UPS ladies that come and deliver are really nice though :) Going off subject one of them in the summer runs all over downtown delivering packages. So she would always come in beat red and out of breath every afternoon xD

I also don't like the regular mail for anything that isn't letter mail. Even certified packages I don't like even though I haven't had any problems with certified mail.

You know, I ought to ban you for this ::meev::
DHL is the slowest and most unreliable carrier. AVOID.

UPS is fine for small stuff (Amazon packages etc) but they'll likely destroy anything large and/or heavy. Also some drivers have a tendency to hide your packages under the doormat, in the bushes, in your garage (!!), etc. Good tracking is standard, at least.

FedEx, I've not used much because they're expensive and inconvenient.

The winner is USPS! I've never had any trouble with them either sending or receiving. Even poorly packaged items tend to make it through reasonably OK. The prices are excellent (with the exception of their new international rates) and they give out free packing materials and labels for Priority Mail. What's not to like?

What really? I haven't had any problem with them before and when I had to work with DHL I had great service from them. Maybe it's just the area?

You're serious? o___o
Here they just give it back to the post office and put a notice in your letter box that you can get your package at the post office...

Since I am not sure what services we have here, so I skip voting '>_>

UPS.
I've never had a problem with them, and there's also some sort of thrill I get when I see that huge brown truck pull up to the house. :D

USPS, however, they've thrown my packages into my garden without even getting out of their truck! They've also hid the package under the doormat, which is even worse because it's so obvious!

Rarely do they ever come to the door and give me my package.

I voted regular mail, however when I'm getting a package they always seem to knock the door as soft as possible, and then when I finally realise that they're at the door they've gone and I have to travel to the post office to get it. ::hora::

FedEx gets my vote. They're very reliable, the packages NEVER arrive damaged, and are usually on time. The other reason would be because my mom works there so yeah and the environment is friendly. ::meev::

USPS would be my 2nd choice since I've never had any problems with them even though I never get the packages in front of my house cuz well, it might get stolen or something and no one is at the house during the whole day; so when it comes to packages I usually have a friend to receive it for me at their house or pick it up at the post office.

I like Regular Mail, honestly..

FedEx was the worst experience I've had, besides lost stuff (that had to be sent again later). When I ordered a Gackt dvd on Amazon japan they could only send it through fedex which I thought was fine. Until I got a phone call from the a person from FedEx at customs here in Portugal and then it was fucked up. -__- I had to go all the way to the customs-wtv-department near the airport and spend the whole morning going up and down the building filling papers and shit to get it. And the woman had the nerve to say "oh it's only ONE dvd?" at least she had the decency to look guilty/awkward about it...
But generally, regular mail is fine. It may take longer to get here but it's not expensive and doesn't make go through a load of trouble to get it.

USPS has always been good to me when it comes to sending and receiving packages. This is especially true with packages from other countries.

FedEx has also always been awesome.

The UPS guys that come to my office are always very nice and very friendly. When UPS delivers my personal packages, though, they like to hide them from me. I've found packages in the bushes, behind a door, in front of the garage, on the back porch, etc.

DHL...meh. They have left NUMEROUS packages of mine in my DRIVEWAY. Why don't you just place my packages underneath the wheels of my car while you're at it?!

XDD It's that bad?

No matter who it is delivering post for me, everything is always fine. They always either come to the door or leave it next door. My neighbour is a postman.
