Is there anyone here who liked MDM kozi EoD gackt klaha etc before they found out about malice mizer or heard of them ???

Well, I did listen to solo Gackt first and then realise that he was formerly in Malice Mizer. But I think one way or another, I'd find out about them anyway.

I found out about Malice Mizer but a guy from the GameFAQs boards called Shinobi SHAW. He listed a bunch of bands he thought were a good starting point and out of all of them the only one he said I probably won't like was Malice Mizer. boy was he wrong...

I first got into Schwarz Stein, actually. I knew about Gackt before, but didn't like his music. You should have seen me when one of my friends was telling me about Mana....

Hmmm.........I had heard of solo Gackt and Malice Mizer around the same time. But Malice Mizer was intially the music that I got into first, followed by M10M, Schwarz Stein, and Gackt.

I bought Memoire DX.. got into Malice Mizer before the solo stuff even existed. Gackt came in the band, I disliked most of Voyage and Merveilles. Klaha came, I was all 'Yay, Gackt's gone and his solo music isn't half bad!' and Klaha's Malice Mizer brought me back to liking Malice Mizer until they broke up.

I had heard a couple of Malice Mizer songs but didn't like them much.
Then I talked to someone on the net who told me about Mana's new project which he didn't like cause he thought it wasn't music, just noise.
I searched for pictures of them on google and fell in love with their looks right away (I never really liked Mana's Malice Mizer looks... not at that time anyway). So I begged to god their music would be as good as their looks. And it was... if not better.
So after that I thought I should check out Malice Mizer some more and I started liking them too.

So I knew about Malice Mizer before but didn't really like them and I didn't get into Moi dix Mois through them.

I found out about Gackt solo first which led to my discovery of Malice Mizer.

EDIT: So yeah, I found of Malice Mizer soon before they ended activity. :/ Although at the time I was too obsessed with Gackt era Malice Mizer. ^_^;;

Just after Voyage came out I think? mid-1996.. I'd say. But I bought Memoire DX first. I have a thing with getting CDs in order.

I never even really knew about Jrock...I was more of a Jpop kinda person. I remember though when i first learned about Malice Mizer and Mana. One of my 'girl friends' was a huge Jrock fan and had like thousands of their picture all over her wall, And she a huge one of Malice Mizer in their Shiroi hada ni kuruu ai to kanashimi no rondo outfits. I was like "the girl in the middle is really pretty" and she was like..."Thats a dude..." "....." "yeah....well...he's pretty." From then on I became a huge Malice Mizer fan and a ever bigger Mana fan...gives me such great memowies......*sobs*

Eh, maybe? I heard solo Gackt first... really liked his voice, hated the music, kept reading about the visual band he used to be in....

So, I heard Gackt first, but I didn't like him until I heard him in Malice Mizer. After I worked my way through all the Malice songs I could find, i researched more and found out about M10M and the like.
