Totally off-topic, but 2 days ago I visited the church where Louis XVIIth made his First Communion, and wondered if Mana knew and ever visited it. It's St-Germain-l'Auxerrois, right next to Le Louvre, which was the Kings' residence in Paris up to Louis XIIIth.
surfingspider is a scholar (he knows French history better than me) and I'm pointlessly trying to be funny (because no one can beat an Australian, they start joking the moment they're born).
Rocroi was a decisive battle in the long war between France and Spain, but Louis XIIIth died 5 days before it took place, so he never knew the outcome.
And the movie Alatriste (imaged), staring Viggo! Mortensen in the title role, ended with said battle.
I wouldn't know much about French history in general, just some of the pointy bits.
We've see a lot of aristocrats in the VK scene, but no Cardinal Richelieu - that needs to be addressed. If The Woman is Red is sexy, wait til you see him!
