Exactly what I was thinking! Going by the angles they are taken from, they must have been taken by Mana's personal photographer, who was all over the stage. I hope they really are from the new Fool's Mate, which is on its way to me - but the number of the last one was 274. Maybe FM stands for 'fan club magazine' and they are from the August Madousho? :?Faux_semblant wrote:ouaahh !! *__*
where does these pics come from? magazine? I wonder!

And looking at how full that room looks I bet you *anything* Mana felt touched. Going out of your country after all these years to have an event elsewhere and seeing so many fans waiting for you must be a good feeling.
Yes, I think he was touched but also nervous. He was breathing really hard just before he spoke into that microphone - as if he first had to work up the courage. During the Q&A his face never really moved but there was always an expression on it and at the autograph event I almost got the impression that he was waiting for people to somehow interact with him (e.g. say something) or at least that he was happy when they did. The smile he gave me came so easily and looked so genuine, I was really surprised. I had expected him to live up to his aloof reputation but he actually came across as very approachable and friendly. He also wrote in his Aesthetics journal that he hadn't expected anything like the reception he got.navate wrote:Wow, there's actually emotion in his eyes! He looks...vulnerable. I bet it was nervewracking for him to do that, though.
He bareley even mentions Mana - which is probably a good thing given what he usually writes about him!navate wrote:The journal isn't worth reading, as usual. Damn, whoever writes those things complains a lot.
I don't think it was so much the number of fans as the whole scenario of having a Q&A session live on stage in a foreign country in a language he didn't fully understand and in front of people other than his tried-and-tested official fan club members (i.e. foreign media). I don't think he felt as 'safe' or in control as he is used to. Some of the questions were a bit off as well. You should have seen the look on his face when the Kami question was posed - he was clearly NOT happy.ange_de_lumiere wrote:In his middle photo, I wouldn't exactly say Mana looks exactly vulnerable, although he does look like it along the lines. He looks much more apprehensive. Just overwhelmed and uneasy from the multitudes of fans who came to see him.
I always wonder why he and his devotees spend so much time expressing their hatred for Mana. It seems such a waste of energy - why not spend it on something they like instead? And my idea of a 'review' is to be informative rather than purely opinion based - especially since you can't argue about taste anyway.Hoshi wrote:Go is a douche bag, just like the majority of Mana-hating cunts that post on his site..... *rolls eyes*
Shit, I was wondering when it would come out. Yet more mandatory spending...Hoshi wrote:His pictures for GLB 14 were taken in France if I'm remembering correctly, and J-XYZ has it for sale...... judging by the looks of the pics so far, Hoshi can't not buy GLB 14........ looks wonderful.........
I'm not surprised to hear that he carried himself that way... hough it's not so much "wrong" as non-communative. I keep my arms crossed even when in the company of good freinds -- I won't even get into how awful my body language becomes when I'm nervous or around people I don't know. Heh.Eresjkigal wrote:it was quite funny to see he did all the wrong things i'm always accused of doing (as in "wrong body language") such as keeping his arms crossed, leaning on one leg when standing, moving his hands all the time, etc. i could be wrong, but i think i saw his hand shaking when he grabbed the microphone.
