Splitting into its own thread: the promised Q&A on Wunderwelt is up:
https://www.wunderwelt.jp/en/interview/1703

My favorite:
Q: Have you seen the music video for Golden Bomber's Yokubou no Uta? What did you think about their MALICE MIZER cosplay?

A: "Put in a little more effort!" (laughs)

Mana also claims, among other things, that he is still involved with designing the fabric patterns and whatnot for Moitie. And he personally approves all the garments, even the ghastly 100% polyester ones :|

I only went to a Moitie store once but the sales girl was definitely not wearing a "habit". That nun outfit comment...did they ever?
It sounds made-up to me too XD
Paging @faith to the thread - she was actually there Back In The Day.

EDIT: and I suppose it's relevant that I did go to Moitie once in 2006 and it was indeed nothing like "Sister Act" XD

Yeah dude, you did the pilgrimage too.
As if I remember what the Moitie clerks were wearing over a decade ago lol

I think I recall they all had these T-shirts that said "No Bull" and very, very clean shoe soles.
No clue where they got those from.

Edit; Actually I think the guy had the EGA black shirt with the removable frill and some sort of black bottom. The woman was all in black too. They were both in Moitie...can't remember if it was the season's wide-legged pants or a previous season's corset. They were always all in black though. That was at the time of Marui Young store in Shinjuku, I think....

I remember going to the one in Shinjuku in around 2006 and the dressing room was a giant coffin. I don't remember any nuns, but I don't have any dazzling memories other than the satisfaction of actually being there in the store. That, and the only thing in my price range was a wallet, but I didn't get it XD

And if you got the wallet, you'd have nothing to put in it afterward! ::cred::

I was at the same store you went to, around the same time. I think the thing that struck me most was how non-gothic most of the place was - it was mostly just plain old racks and stands inside. That coffin was the only real touch of GOSHIKKU ::mana:: Well, that and the ivy-covered iron gates outside with the cross.

All I remember of the Moitie Shinjuku Marui store is it was darker than all the others and feeling fiercely intimidated just because it was Moi meme Moitie, lol. And yeah the prices. It was cool though.

Guess Mana had a chuckle thinking about all those who would think "really, nun-like attire? wow". I was thinking "seriously Mana?" and then laughed to myself.
