Modified user ranks

This is an announcement! I've changed around the user ranks a little and simplified things. The rankings are now as follows:

-member- (1-499 posts)
-senior member- (500+ posts)

That's all. As well as the admin/mod/staff rankings which stay the same.

I don't think we need to break the membership down into "n00bs", "elites", "juniors", etc. It's sort of undemocratic. I think a recognition of people who have stayed around and become part of the community is appropriate though, and so I've kept the senior status at 500 posts.

Any thoughts or comments are welcome.

I think it's a wise decision. I've never really attached any importance to being "junior" or "elite" although others are bound to, and nothing good comes from it. So it's all for the best. No one should be thinking "aww man, I love scape and have been here awhile but am only a junior member...no one pays any attention to me!" ^^;;

I for one think it is an excellent move; good choice! Maybe now we'll get a bit of a cutback on post spamming for post counts. ^^

No no, we don't have executive bathrooms anymore. NOW LejuN has hidden 5 golden tickets in the forum, and the people who find them become his staffers!

So far me, Navate, Faith, and Geisha have found the tickets, so there's only 1 left...

Ka: haha, I can't tell you how many times I've had that happen to me: typing to one person in Japanese, typing to another in English, on IM...and then typing in the wrong window and it's all gibberish like that! "You actually made me excited with all this!"

Anyway, um...yeah. It's nice to have it lower, I think (because I can't -- or won't -- contribute to EVERY discussion; I wouldn't be saying anything of value!).

That's Seiya, one of our first moderators. As far as I know she has the special rank as a mark of ex-moderatorship. She's the only one who has it.
