Far from it! My father got transferred and we moved here as a family. I had just finished junior high, so I didn't have much to say about it back then. Of course now I'm glad we moved here. I love this country and couldn't imagine myself living anywhere else :D

Wow, that's awesome=) Did you know any Japanese before you moved? That must've been pretty hard, being in a school with just Japanese kids I mean.

I studied it intensively for about six months before going.
Was tough in the beginning, but no biggie. Japanese school is all about passing tests. Scandinavian school is way harder (and the quality of education puts the Japanese national school to shame, but that's a whole different discussion :P )

Hello everyone. My name is Evan and I'm originally from Norway. I have lived in Japan since 1998, which was also the year I went to my first Mizer concert. As the only foreigner in school, I was dragged there by a couple of girls from my class. The band's performance completely blew me away, and I went to many of their shows thereafter, and subsequently joined their fan club. I haven't been into vk for many many years, but still enjoy a few bands, including Mizer, Schwarz Stein, Madeth gray'll, MUCC, deadman and Aliene Ma'riage to name a few. I know squat about the current scene, so don't hesitate to give me some tips!

OK that is awesome! Did you see any Klaha-era performances? I would be so jealous if you did

Welcome to the forum everyone!

Yup, saw Mizer live around 15 times, both with Gackt and with Klaha. I was there for the Bara ni irodorareta live, and also during their final tour. I must say I preferred the Gackt lives though. They had much more energy.

I AM SO JEALOUS! Ahhh, that must've been so cool. Go awayyyy~
I'm not a Gackt fan although I like the music a lot, but the Klaha era is my favorite. I can't ever get over Mana spinning around while rose petals are falling at the Bara ni irodorareta live during "Shiroi" ::squee::

Hello... My name is Hiroki (just because the name was already taken, it's "Prince Hiroki" here)... From Poland.
I'm mainly interested in music and books, I love to learn languages, too.
In love with Moi dix Mois and Malice Mizer since 2010.
Although my English is not very good (3 years of studying only) I hope there won't be any problems with understanding.

Welcome and nie martw się - bardzo dobrze cię rozumiem, a nie popełniłeś żadnych błędów :)
Hopefully you understand me too lol

Stay warm! I hear it's freezing in Eastern Europe right now (though it's not so great here either...).

Hello, Prince Hiroki!

Nice to have a new Polish member. And do stay warm, because this Siberian cold is really terrible!

Edit: your English sounds perfect, so no need to feel nervous about it! :)

Thank you for nice welcome <3 That's nice to hear that it's not so bad with my English. In fact it is not perfect but I don't have possibilities to improve it more right now.
Yes, it's freezing here and it's quite horrible to get out last days. But I think tv says that cold days will be going to the end soon, so it's ok. I don't watch tv so I might have mistaken something"
If you have any questions then just ask please , I kinda enjoy talking about myself, that's why that first post was short lol~ it could end on an essay

Ok then, where exactly do you live? Poland is not such a small country, is it?

^^Welcome to Scape!

You should be grateful that you've had a cold winter! In Michigan, we've hardly had a winter at all this year, which is extremely unusual. Our Great Lakes haven't frozen over at all, so it's likely that their water level will drop even further now. It's pretty worrying.

Over 200 people have died though and there's still another week or so to go....
Some in Poland, most of them in the Ukraine (where it reached -40F), and none of them loose female university students or old narcissistic manwhores as far as I know.

Sad on both accounts.
If nature must kill people, I do wish it would at least do so for the betterment of the world.

Oh wow, my bad. I didn't realize Hiroki meant that the winter was colder than usual. The American media haven't been covering that story.

These are some really extreme weather patterns. In Michigan, it's February yet we've had a week of above-freezing weather and no snow. That's totally unheard of. There are benefits to warmer winters (fewer fatalities, of course), but there are serious detriments too. If every winter in Michigan were like this, the Great Lakes would shrivel up and the perfect climate for growing fruit trees in our state would disappear.

If any Americans out there like to buy cherries at the supermarket, they'd better pray that that doesn't happen XD

Honestly I don't even know if we can call this winter "colder than usual", because almost each winter they say "it's winter of the century" and I don't even see the difference. This year media didn't say so but it's because we had autumn until about the 20th of December, then some winter days with snow etc, then January was a bit like spring and about one week ago it started freezing and snowing again. I think it's kinda like all of those cold winter days that were supposed to be in December and January were pulled together~

I just wanted say that your English is really good for someone who has been studying it for only 3 years.

I certainly wouldn't be self-conscious of it if I were you. We used to have some members whose English skills were really quite poor - to the point where trying to figure out the meaning of their posts felt like trying to solve a riddle at times. Of course this would lead to arguments erupting over misunderstandings and things being lost in translation.

Thankfully this doesn't seem to happen anymore and I haven't felt compelled to make fun of anyone for it in a long time. ::meev::

Thank you very very much <3 I'm generally not self-confident especially when using other languages than Polish but maybe it will change soon... It's nice when I see people understand me C:
