Now that Amatsu is gone...

Yeah...butting in where I don't belong.
I didn't notice this thread until Amatsu bumped it up. But now that I have, it oddly reminds me of "Lord of the Flies"...It's this kind of packing mentality that I don't understand.

He was a poster here for x years, and I guess it would be nice to see people have a little respect for that (at least on the forum - not important what you do outside of it). Must we publicly dis people once they leave?

PS. I like Kashka. Even if it were Amatsu, I would still like her. Because her posts are interesting and polite.

But I can figure out the intention. And it's half that I don't feel like having some forum rant once I'm gone about how I was an anorexic, sexually confused, obnoxious dweeb with poor Japanese skills. Though I don't think anyone would notice if I left XD
So it's part self interest. Still. It' easy to forget that manners are still important on the internet. And it makes me a bit glad that I only speak to a handful of people I met on the forum outside of it.

So basically, as long as I'm on your side I can get away with all kinds of bullshit but if we're not friends your position changes and all the shit I did was unacceptable.

Maybe you should reevaluate how good a friend either of us ever really was to the other.

@faith: You have always been kind and respectful to everyone here as far as I remember, and you have done nothing to breed ill will. No one would ever do something like this to you.

There have been lots of people who have left, yet we never did this to any of them either. In fact, most of them we fondly remember and wish were still here. It takes a special kind of effort to earn this from the Scape community.

Or as Iska said in shorter words: You were never a jerk about that stuff, so don't worry about it.


I'm not going to argue that this thread was ever right or that we should have done this even to Amatsu. However, Amatsu was purposefully rude and antagonistic to many of us, by his own admission. He made his bed, he can lie in it.

FAKE EDIT: Honestly, after going through this thread again, I don't think we were that harsh at all. We kept a sense of humor about it and everything we said was true, even if it does hit close to home.

REAL EDIT: @Demanufacturer: Honestly, this is mostly between Holylampposts and Amatsu.

@Amatsu: Thanks for coming in and clearing things up.
