question about third stage / flyers

just a few questions about third stage. Do they send little goodies with your order (like flyers?) I really want some flyers! ahh! and What if my letter + money doesn't get there in time? It says they can't send to countries that don't accept EMS. I am from Canada and I just heard that we don't accept EMS anymore, does anyone know about that?

Anyways, does anyone know a place where I can buy flyers of bands? I would really want malice mizer/moi dix mois/schwarz stein flyers but who would want to give theirs up? Yea so any flyers would be fine

Third Stage will send random flyers along with your order for free, but there's no guarantee of what you'll get or what condition it'll be in. I got a slightly beat-up Pageant flyer with my last order...

From their site:

"We will send your parcel by EMS(Express Mail International Service.)
If the EMS can not deliver your parcel to the area where you live, unfortunately you can not order."

So it looks like maybe not... if you want you can try emailing them at thirdstage@mandrakeroot.co.jp and asking if they'll make an exception. I dunno.

In my experience, orders always come with flyers, but usually for bands that I don't listen to/haven't heard of XD

Usually it's not too bad. But I didn't appreciate the knife cutting job customs did to my Eliphas Levi video box set. >.>;; They usually open the boxes that weigh a ton (like hte Eliphas Levi box set) so a couple of CDs won't be too much of an issue I think.
Just make sure you have Purolator office near where you live. XD;;

Every single Third stage order I have received have contained either flyers, postcards or just some kinda advertising (such as burned CD-r's even) ever since I started ordering from them.

The funny thing is, they *did* use to send you flyers of stuff you like (as well as others), such as If I ordered a Schwarz Stein CD and it was new, I would get the latest SS flyers. But these days it seems to be very random if not completely trying to advertise for stuff you didn't order instead. That makes me sad ;-;/

Because EMS is obviously a very popular shipping method in Japan... but I think the most popular reason is it is highly regarded as far as shipping methods goes and I feel a lot of Japanese webstores, especially smaller ones, are a bit afraid to deal with overseas customers and things such as claims of missing packages and so on. It leaves a lot of room for fraud, etc.

I thought Purolator handles all the Canadian EMS stuff.

Maybe because of all the damage they were doing to the packages they decided they couldn't afford to be paying EMS compensation?

Why are they so brutall with them anyway? I've had packages opened by customs before but they were very safely put back together o-x

Oh and yes, I always get flyers from Third Stage too. Like LejuN said I used to get a ton of Klaha flyers for Klaha orders, a ton of Mana flyers for M10M orders and so on, but now it's just randomness.

I'm also from Canada and I never heard about stopping EMS shipping...I've heard about it being slow due to 2 shipping plants closing down but other than that I don't know why they would just stop EMS..I've never had trouble with it really. An EMS package just shipped to me last week. The only major trouble I got from Third Stage is that one time the package came totally crushed and so did the contained items...but oh well, oh and they throw in a ton of flyers whenever I order (like 15-20).

All I know is there have been lost of problems with EMS lately, and a lot of cases where customs won't let the package through. Though I think some of them were for normal Air Mail as well as EMS.

As for Amasanin, I've personally never had any problems receiving or shipping things out, and customs has never wrecked anything I've gotten. Though my anime club has had several problems with customs not letting DVDs through, and there's of course Edgey's problem with the box set...

But I'm curious, what the heck is a Purolator post office? o_o I've never heard of them before.
