Yeah, it depends on the mindset of the friends, what they're interests are, and what they're like. The penguins and honorary penguins are good, sensible, and reasonable people (I'm the gigantic nerd in the group). When I go to them for lurv advice, especially to Ting Ting, I've always found that she's not biased and won't say what SHE would do, but rather give me different sides of things for me to consider and leave it up to me. So it's always *me* making the decision and I can't go around saying, "Well SHE said I should do this blablabla." I really like that, and I really like that she has my best interests in her head. I actually thanked her for not badmouthing the person in question or making me seem like a saint because I ain't. I couldn't imagine going to someone who either was cynical/bitter or too "out there" to make sense XD You can usually spot those people easily and I hope your friends are good!shazzer wrote:Maybe I just should not listen to my friends.
I started my internship last week and god I'm so busy. And I have to write two essays for some stuff, including a law school sponsored trip to a family detention center in Texas. I REALLY WANT TO GO!!!
I'm also learning a ton about bankruptcy and have sat in on interviews and I'm learning the software for everything. It's been super interesting! I have to do my first one next week... in ESPANOL. XD Then I have an audition and in July I start classes and AGHHHH.
The new intern Jennifer started today and she seemed nice and friendly. We walked to a restaurant in Bryant Park to eat lunch together! There's also Alex, a just-admitted lawyer doing his pro bono hours.
When I opened the door and saw him sitting there I was aghast, like there was a man in the Roman baths. For some reason I was shocked there was a male specimen in the intern room that I previously had all to myself. He's very nice too and so we've all been working on interviews and getting papers together.
Zzz........ just don't wanna do anything anymore~
