This thread will be rebooted every time it reaches 100 pages. Generally, anything is OK, but:

- No posts just to say how bored you are.
- Intimate details of your personal life and personal angst belong on LJ, not here.
- Long conversations in here should be split off to another thread if appropriate.
- No one-liner agreement responses.

Now have fun :D

Current reboot count: 42

How could anyone watch that whole video?

I had to stop after the first 5 minutes. So cringe-inducing.

I love The Ansonia and I can't help staring at it whenever I pass by.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ansonia
In what might be the earliest harbinger of the current developments in urban farming,[4] Stokes established a small farm on the roof of the hotel.
Stokes had a Utopian vision for the Ansonia—that it could be self-sufficient, or at least contribute to its own support—which led to perhaps the strangest New York apartment amenity ever. “The farm on the roof,” Weddie Stokes wrote years later, “included about 500 chickens, many ducks, about six goats and a small bear.” Every day, a bellhop delivered free fresh eggs to all the tenants, and any surplus was sold cheaply to the public in the basement arcade. Not much about this feature charmed the city fathers, however, and in 1907, the Department of Health shut down the farm in the sky.[5]
Oh tartar sauce XD It's such a cool imposing building, I can't believe you can live in it now. Hmm...

And I can't believe I got a gorgeous painting of a ship by a lighthouse for $10! Well it's thanks to my dad and his haggling skills. Another ship painting to add to my collection  Right now prints/paintings of ships and buildings surround my desk XD

I also got this framed. I couldn't stop staring at it since it's kind of kooky XD /random

Hey Flowers, I think it would be nice if, when you close a random thread, you quoted the last post and put it in the opening post of the new random thread (unless the last post is embarrassing or inappropriate or just "lol" or whatever).

Do we get discounts? ::cred::
And I thought you didn't work at the frame store anymore, you were off sipping revolting drinks at some new gig XD

It was actually "Huh?" cause you were all like, "Faith's got total attitude man."

There's a bouncy house outside my office window.
I think they're setting up a bouncy house for 40 year old French professionals.
Why are they doing this thing?

I wish we had giant bounce castles around here... That would be awesome!

There's apparently an establishment where the floor is covered with tramplines and all you do is bounce around from trampoline to trampline. I really want to go there sometime! It looks like you pay by the hour, $11 per hour. I can't see myself staying there that much longer, though... ::eat::

Sooo today I found this game called "Gender Bender" and it looked so typical 1980s/early 90s that I had to check it out ::meev::

To play you need to have at least two men and two women (or just 1 of each) and a guy chooses the "suppose you were a woman" card and answers the question privately and the women answer together. After they answer they compare answers and if the guy has the same answer as the women then he'll get a point. Then a woman has to choose a man card and etc etc etc.

Some of my favorite cards:

aaaaahahaha... ::batsu::

I had fun just looking through them. ::gaku:: (I can't believe the people only played a couple of times, what's wrong with them?)

Or it was

E) As You Like It
F) The Tempest

I'm having fun with this XD ::kisaki:: (Or G) King Lear?)

I'm not sure how I feel about Mayor Bloomberg wanting to ban large sodas (anything over 16oz). I've never had a large soda and I love Coke, but I feel kind of weird. XD I know it's not totally good for you, so I've stopped drinking it as much a few years ago and I do it only when I'm at a restaurant or if I feel like I deserved it ::batsu:: (or if I want to spoil myself :B )

Bloomberg told MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell that his porposed ban would not limit the sale of soft drinks to individuals, but it would force many vendors to only sell small portions and force consumers to buy two small portions if they wanted more.

“The idea here is, you tend to eat all the food in the container in front of you,” said Bloomberg. “If it’s a bigger container, you eat more. If somebody put it in a smaller glass or plate or bowl in front of you, you would eat less.”

Bloomberg went on to cite the “epidemic” of obesity in America and said that his is a concrete proposal of what to do about this crisis. He stressed, however, that there would be no limits on the sale of beverages – just their portion size.

“We’re not taking away anybody’s right to do things, we’re simply forcing you to understand that you have to make the conscious decision to go from one cup to another cup,” said Bloomberg.

“It’s not perfect, it’s not the only answer, it’s not the only cause of people being overweight – but we’ve got to do something,” said Bloomberg. “We have an obligation to warn you when things are not good for your health.”

I really don't mind what he did with the calories though. I remember being surprised when I first came here and saw all the calories to foods posted in places like McDonalds, but it's pretty helpful. They do the same at my university and I'm usually like, "Man, why do I always order the one with the most calories?" XD But it's not like a burger, but chicken alfredo or something. I also don't mind the ads on TV or all over the place about salt, smoking, etc...

I think it's a fab idea. Those things are enormous.
And he's right - portion sizes are way too big in the US. Really, who needs to supersize it?

They can go have some fruits or veggies instead. That's the great thing about a cucumber. No preparation needed.
