Uh I started to dislike moving. It is the 4th time I am moving in Japan. Had to send some stuff back home.

I don't know how long he's known you, but I can't imagine loving someone unless I've come to know him well. At least he let it out instead of having it pent up inside him forever, that would've been terrible.

Speaking of which, Strickland truly didn't like his roommate Bo! I remember walking into the lounge and Strickland was on the couch and I asked, "Where's Bo?"

    "Dead."
    "Are you serious? XD"
    "One can only hope."
"... Ugh Strickland!" I thought it was a joke, but I remembered how he criticized Bo's suit and how happy he was when Bo was out of their room. Then when I was alone with Strickland and Bo awkwardly came in and they glared at each other, and Strickland turned and gave Bo this look of death when Bo came very close to me (to get something). Oh man, the tension! One night I was with Bo and Jessica studying and the moment I left Bo started complaining to her about Strickland getting all the attention from girls, OH GOD.

So I asked Strickland now why he doesn't like Bo, he brought it up, and he said, "Have you ever LIVED with Bo?" I'm glad I've finally confirmed my feelings without having to pry ::meev:: I've never seen two guys have so much tension like that haha, I'm glad it didn't blow up.

Tell me about it. I'm tired of guys only trying to sleep with me from the get go and I'm so tired of guys intent on "corrupting" me and trying to turn me into a "bad girl" without getting to really know me at first. Cerceaux and I have been going over the things I've listened to this past week ::meev:: That kind of talk is OK if we were a couple because it's all fun and sexy, but good lord. Even so, I especially enjoy feeling all cute and silly with someone. It's my favorite! Sir Swanson's no saint (OH BABY), but it's a nice mix, he's a giant nerd, and I like feeling nerdy again.

... I can't live without all of it though, the good parts especially, I can't even imagine XD

And to make matters worse, then I tried to skateboard into the Yoshinoya but I didn't see the glass doors were closed so I just smooshed up against them and my board went flying, and then my sneakers disintegrated because they were fakes.

I told my dad, "I feel so much better! It's like life is getting back to normal." He said, "What do you mean 'back to normal'? None of these people were in your life before this year ::meev::"

That's so true XD It's just that on Saturday, after the old lady thing, we bumped into more Shanghai peeps, I met one of Strickland's best friends (who was super nice!), we had Taco Bell, we walked and bumped into several more Shanghai peeps and we ended up on the roof of one of their apartment buildings and had a party. I guess that's "normal" for me now ::meev:: It was wonderful though and I feel so great since then. Philip came back on the same day too and reunited with Jessica at the party, it was surreal seeing those two together again, especially since Jessica didn't know if she could handle 3 months without touching him (I get it now). I can't wait for Laura, Shannen, and Corinne to come back next week, weeeeeee ::squee:: I seriously can't wait!

(Laura and I are going to go row boating in Central Park because the only place in the city that has pedal boats is under renovation XD Oh well, it'll ALMOST be like Changfeng Park, haha. We're nerds.)

I think I met my quota for today.

I was off studying in the NYC library at Bryant Park when I went out to find food. I was determined to find the TGI Fridays, and my phone died. As I'm walking I pass by a restaurant that I had gone to with my former professor, at a different location, and I think, "It would be funny if he was in there now." I walk past it and happen to look inside the windows and he was THERE. He was sitting in the back with another man wearing a suit and he saw me, I saw him, and we had that slow recognition thing going on. I smiled and waved at him, kept walking, he stood up from his chair, but I was out of sight after that. I kept walking and thought, "Wait, what am I doing??" So I turn and quickly walk back and he's already run to the entrance and I walk into him. He said, "I couldn't believe you'd pass by without saying anything" and I swear, when we saw each other we gave each other this huge hug-- it was as if we had been separated for years and reunited. I don't know what got into me (or him)! What an intriguing hug.

He said my China pictures are beautiful and he inquired about my life etc. I noticed that he put his hand into this ice bucket full of champagne and he was holding an ice cube. I looked at his hand and he stopped XD Another man wearing a suit walks in, he's his friend, I'm introduced to him too, and it was really nice. He said to let him know when I want to grab coffee with him and I said I will.

So that's my random story ::meev:: I guess I missed him more than I thought, but in Shanghai I thought of him as the only person I'd want to see back home. Speaking of which, I had dinner with a friend who came back and she asked, "Am I the only one who thinks about China everyday?" I said NO XD I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt happy every day and so carefree! Even with Strickland and my friends back, I still look back on that night in April at 2AM with Strickland, when he asked, "Not spicy, right?" I replied right and he said, "Perfect." That word described everything, I knew to appreciate it even then, I can still see the moment now, and it's amazing. :)

@Eminatic: I know what you mean! I had to do mock interviews and I was still nervous even though I wasn't the one being interviewed. At the last moment they asked me to be an interviewee as well, and I was not very prepared since my assignment was to be an interviewer. But I nailed it! I was nervous, but my reviews from the committee were that I was very clear, I managed to mix in my life, goals, and interests into every answer, my hand gestures were great and emphasized my point, and I was super convincing in general, especially when I talked about a weakness. I wasn't prepared to talk about a weakness, and I don't know how I remembered something one of my bosses told me. I said it so naturally I surprised even myself XD I'm a gigantic nerd ::meev::

Everyone keeps telling me "they are 100 times more intimidated by you"...which is probably true ::kisaki:: but it's just so crazy to me that I went from awkward college student with no people skills to manager holding job interviews in an office in like...two months lol. except i still pretty much feel like

I guess I'm afraid I'll hire someone who can't get the job done and then be stuck with them..I'm not ready for this level of commitment D:

Oh yeah, I did those for the first time a month or two ago too. The main lesson I took out of it: just go over the most basic things and that'll weed out like 99% of the incompetents right there. Like, talk about what else is on their resume and see if they even understand what they were supposedly doing for a living, etc. What's the position you're interviewing for?

Here: spent a few days up in Boston (and went shoopin' w/ Ms. Faith) and just arrived over in Seattle for a few days. It's as cloudy as they say ::meev::

For me it's weird because I don't think I'm very good at transitioning to the next topic or saying things like, "Oh really? Can you tell me more about that?" It depends. I don't want to seem rehearsed or "to the point" so much either. I'm not a good liar so I don't want to move on by saying, "Oh that's wonderful" when I don't think it's wonderful. One of my friends is SO good at interviewing people, it was incredible to see her in action ::batsu::

I had this great night with Laura this week. XD We were at NYU for the comedy performance and we're on the fourth floor when they told us the elevators didn't work. I said OK and I told Laura we'd walk up the stairs and she said, "Wow Adela, you're so devoted. I feel like I'm learning a lot about love from you!" I laughed, died when I got to the tenth floor, and proceeded to starve by the end of the show because there was no food. It was wonderful though. <3

We were sitting on the floor waiting to be let in when she brought up introvert-ness. I said I loved being off the grid and how it's not possible to do that as much anymore back in NYC, but I need to have at least an hour alone or I'll get a bit cranky. When Strickland said he needed to get away and recharge since he's always performing or putting himself out there for work, class, etc, I totally understood. So it's OK to spend hours in silence together or to just "disappear." Hmm, I'm more sensitive to noise and my need for complete alone time ever since I've gotten back~

BTW does anyone have an opinion on Jim, the "most date worthy man in the world"? It's a commercial for an ELITE dating site, Sparkology, and it made me feel strange. So I'm analyzing it.

I love how the markets are always changing.
Only men who are from ELITE universities can join because the women want quality men XD I'll take pride in that NYU is considered ELITE! *deep voice*

Also, anyone who un-ironically enjoys gallery openings is undateable. (Ironic enjoyment would be doing like Virginia Woolf and her troll friends, and dressing up like African dignitaries)
