God, it reminds me of this time I went in for a job interview at one of those kind of places and the weirdo cultist I talked to was like "Oh yeah I love it when Ben Bernanke makes announcements and I get to see everyone react" XD
Also, anyone who un-ironically enjoys gallery openings is undateable. (Ironic enjoyment would be doing like Virginia Woolf and her troll friends, and dressing up like African dignitaries)
I've finally gotten a good work-life balance.
What bothered me the most was how dull he was. Who says they love the park?? BONUS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_divMGi5VU
Here's Jim and other dateworthy men dancing for YOU~ *cringe* I can't believe you knew that Virginia Woolf hoax.

I had my first day of classes...I loved how I walked into my Latin American Politics class and saw a girl I hadn't seen since Shanghai. We had the most interesting and inspirational conversation while we were on the bus back from Yangzhou to Shanghai. I was sitting with Strickland, rolled up into a ball and falling asleep, when I heard her say she's from Mexico, and I thought, "Oh my gosh, someone not white/Asian/etc.!" I turned from my seat and told her my family's from Peru. We ended up talking and she said she was more comfortable speaking in Spanish, so we spoke in Spanish. It felt so awesome since it was like a private conversation. No one near knew Spanish, that's for sure! (Usually Chinese can be used among us to tell secrets, but that couldn't happen since we were all learning Chinese.)

She told me about her hometown, Monterrey, and how much she misses and loves Mexico. She said Mexico is not all bad and she wished people would talk more about how beautiful it is. She told me about Mexican authors and novels, the Day of the Dead, how close to life and death Mexico is, how during that day in particular you're so close to death, and it's not scary at all, but something hauntingly beautiful. She spoke with such pride, knowledge, and passion that I was so inspired! I kept telling her thank you because it was simply wonderful. So I'm happy we're in class together now! :D

This month is going to be INSANE. I'm already feeling like this:

I am disgusted.
Well, you probably heard about the story of the king Albert II of Belgium and his so-called natural daughter Delphine Boël. I have all the reasons to think that story is a fake one and a plot. The king Albert II had done a DNA test in 1984 to prove that Delphine was not his daughter.
These last days, the mother of Delphine appeared on TV to explain all her so-called affair with the king Albert II, affair that he always denied. I didn't watch the show but there were some articles in the newspapers about it.
What a surprise ! The pics that the mother of Delphine showed as her daughter Delphine were in fact me.
This one for instance : http://www.lavenir.net/article/detail.a ... 0_00353253
The girl with her red trouser is me. Delphine is blonde and always was blonde. My mum and the king Albert II were close friends and I knew the mother of Dephine too, so it's not strange that there were photos about us but I am shoked that she used them in a TV show telling it was Delphine on them.
I don't know what to do. Against the mother of Delphine, I have not enough money to take a good lawyer. The king Albert II is in lawsuit against her for now fo the same case but I don't know what he plans to do for the photos. Maybe it's me who must lodge a complaint.
On the other side, I think that if she made such a mistake, it means that she is at the end, that she thinks that she is on the point to loose.

Well, I didn't think that one day, I'd be in a TV show  Specially, in such a "Dallas familly" story

I never heard it, what's the story?

... So does this mean you're royalty? ::meev::

To be royalty, we must be born in a normal family : the king and the queen married together and me, I was claimed by 3 different fathers : one king, one prince and my mum's husband. So I'd say that I have one third royalty, one third princely and one normal third  The DNA test showed that the king won but I am not his daughter legally. Legally, I am the daughter of my mum's husband.

A woman, Sybille de Selys-Longchamp, claimed that she had a long affair with my natural father and that they had a daughter together. But he always denied the affair and the daughter and even made a DNA test to prove it wasn't true. But Delphine pushed by her mother is convinced that she is her daughter, even of the DNA test that he made. It has lasted for years. She wrote books, there were articles in the newspapers...
And recently, she lodged a complaint against him to be recognized as her daughter. She wants a new DNA test. And to help her daughter to prove the story, Sybille made that TV show, with photos of me instead of her daughter.

All the kings I've heard stuff about are such horny assholes. Gosh :P
Who'd want to be related to them?

Gackt is doing something a little silly again it seems.
But at least he's raising money for a good cause.

Maybe this one is an exception ^^ I wouldn't say that he is an angel but I have nothing to reproach to him. At least, he told me the truth, even if it was long for me to put up with it. What my legal parents never did. They always lied to me, what disturbed me a lot. I didn't know no more who to believe. He even wanted to recognise me and enabled me to meet my half-brothers and sister the most simply possible. My mum didn't accept the facts, not him.
But yeah, you are right, a lot of kings are horny according to what my parents told abouit his father

Eh I dunno. I just have a problem with entitled people I guess...except the Japanese royal family. They seem ok.

Gackt is being some historical Kenshin guy in a festival for a town to help raise restoration money for them.
He didn't say much about it, other than that he apparently has to ride a horse down the road XD

Psh, I'm still QUEEN OF THE WORLD despite Martine's lineage ::meev::

My professor for 20th Century Chinese Literature asked us what our favorite places in the whole world are. We took two minutes to think, and I couldn't decide between Shanghai and Wuhou Memorial Temple in Chengdu. I couldn't even be so specific about Shanghai since I have so many favorite places there.

We went around the room to give our answers. Someone said, "My mom's kitchen" another, "My bed" another, "My friend's basement," another "The state of Texas." I felt increasingly awkward as it went on ::batsu:: It finally got to me and I said, "I'm stuck between Shanghai and Chengdu" and I felt like a huge nerd XD (If I had to choose I'd say the Bund. There's nothing, nothing in the world like standing at the Bund and looking over the water to see the skyline, especially at night, with the old European buildings behind you. It's so beautiful.)

My dad and I have been having a lot of interesting talks lately. I've been up and down in the past few days, and I think my friend was kind of on point when she told me over the phone, "Over the summer, with my internship and job, I felt like I was just on a break and things would go back to normal. When the break was over, I'd be going back to my life that I had in China, but once classes started it really hit me hard that I'm not actually in China anymore and I was so upset at that. I couldn't believe it and I got so upset. Know what I mean?" YES XD I'm sooo glad that it's the majority of us who are feeling like that and not only me! My friend Laura said she still gets hit with vivid flashbacks, aw!

My dad and I talked about that and he gave me a lot of insight on men, people's mentalities, and love. I felt enlightened and SO much better and understanding (especially about Strickland!) I am no longer confused over his actions XD. Then we proceeded to watch "The Making of Sleeping Beauty" and "The Making of Pinnochio." (I've seen the Sleeping Beauty one like seven times by now and I still tear up over it.) We're nerds.

A lot of people are like you I guess ^^
I remember when Philippe, our king for now, came in my village to spend some hollidays he had only a very few friends. Though he was a boy like another. The stupid things that we made kids together are transformed now in sordid stories. I often hear or read sordid anecdotes about him that are in fact jokes or stupid things that we made kids like every kid. I have the habit to say that when lineaged people cut themselves, their blood is red like for other people ^^ We are all the same.

Anyhoo, I've been analyzing why Orange Caramel is awesome. I mean, I've listened to a lot of kpop by now, especially girl groups and the super popular songs, and I keep coming back to Orange Caramel. There's just something about them that really grabbed me... So I read a billion articles/reviews.
http://seoulbeats.com/2012/09/after-sch ... ly-orange/
http://www.soompi.com/2012/09/20/orange ... e-from-as/
Orange Caramel is often called a 'happy virus' for delivering happiness to the audience with their fun, bubbly performances. They never fail to live up to their fans' expectations and lift people's spirits wherever they go! We hope the sweet and bubbly girl group Orange Caramel continues to gain much fame and success, and spread the happy virus worldwide with their activities.
Most of the songs were energetically addicting while the ballads were soulful and heartfelt. I may even dare to say that it is the epitome of Orange Caramel’s distinct sound and flawlessly represents the lively and animated quality that they possess.
Orange Caramel has never been afraid to be goofy.
Orange Caramel... They are the only group of their kind that I can, surprisingly, stomach. By all rhyme and reason, I should hate them with a vengeance (even if Nana is in the group). They represent so many of the things I usually dislike vigorously about K-pop. But I don't hate them. Not in the slightest. It perplexes me, somewhat.
I have to admit, even this man smiles when ever these ladies sing and dance, they give of a vibe of happiness and joy to the watchers. Keep up the great work ladies.
And I think that is what Orange Caramel really excels at. Happiness. They bring forth a sort of playfulness in their style.
They're so charming, nerdy, endearing, and adorable that they make you feel nerdily happy. Some article called their music like "a longtime friend giving you a hug" and that's a great way to put it, haha. One of my internship friends said that she liked me because I'm so positive, I appreciate the little things and find beauty in them, and it's great to be that way when you're involved in something as heavy as social justice. Orange Caramel makes me feel bubbly and cute, so that's partly why I love them ::squee::

Their lyrics are so freakin' adorable and relatable for nerds like me XD TBH songs like "Aing" remind me of my nerdy self. And they're so awesome for just having the song "Shanghai Romance." ::batsu::

Orange Caramel first shocked K-pop industry with unprecedented, unique concept. They stood out the most in all subunit idol groups with songs like “Magic Girl,” and “Shanghai Romance.” Every single song they released was a big hit and such success allowed Orange Caramel to release their first regular album. The members seemed proud of themselves with their achievements so far. Nana stated, “As this is a regular album, it is of much higher quality. I’m really happy with it. Handing out these big, pretty CDs allow me to be confident, too. I’m really proud of us for what we’ve achieved. It’d be ideal if we could continue this and release our second and third regular albums.”
I'm actually excited at the thought of them releasing new stuff. ::squee:: I CAN'T WAIT! OK, now to bury myself for more work for days.

Yeah, pas mon tasse du thé...

I got back to France yesterday and had a Welcoming Myself Back party. Woahhhh jetlag!
But it was fun. I brought back 20 lbs of American goodies to share with everyone, and Apples to Apples, which was interesting...most of my friends are foreign. They didn't know what some of the things were, like disco balls and Ebenezer Scrooge. Varrun, who's from India, did. That was interesting too.

Now I'm wondering what popular culture, like characters from stories and all that, I don't know from their countries (in this case Romania, Spain, Algeria, and India. I'm good with France and China lol).
