I leave this thread for 9 days and I come back to a slice-of-life anime about Ayu-Decal enthusiasts.

Unless they did something weird with the marshmallows first...

The train in Paris was stopped a while back because kids were throwing rocks from bridges, not marshmallows.
And today apparently the metro was stopped because some guy poo'd all over the tracks.
    Will not miss Itaparis XD

and speaking of Itaparis, omigod, the news about the Notre Dame fire is so devastating. :'( Glad the structure isn't completely destroyed and that they're gonna restore the Cathedral, but the damage seems massive and gutting.

I'm no longer any sort of religious but visiting the Cathedral was one of the most profoundly impactful experiences I had when I was visiting Europe in 2017. Walking around inside the Church was an emotional experience for me since I was raised Catholic, and it just really reminded me of my family. I was going through a lot personally as well which really added to it. Plus the sense of history and pride built into the Notre Dame was overwhelming to walk through.

Also I was able to attend the 99th Armistice Day service at the Cathedral, which was a really cool experience, especially since I just came up on it by accident. Really glad I was able to do that...

I am not religious at all, but a building that beautiful and ancient being destroyed like that made me cry tonight.

The videos of people singing too. And the bells from other churches tolling for Notre Dame.

    It's really sad.

You don't have to believe in dogma to mourn art. I'm still shaken up about it. I haven't felt this haunting feeling since 9/11.... At least this time there were no casualties and no word (yet) of terrorism or foul play.

Macron says they'll have it rebuilt in 5 years. Macron's a numbnut XD

Notre Dame, for the majority of French, is pretty devoid of religious meaning tbh.
More people go there to get drunk on the weekend, than those who go there for mass (if anyone still goes there for mass).
It's kind of outgrown its original purpose and become a symbol of French culture, history, art, literature...
So we're kind of in shock. But we also know it'll get rebuilt as close to the original as possible. It helps I guess.

At this point everyone's pretty sure it was an accident (thank goodness).
The Fire Department's special investigation unit is looking into the causes.

Not sure if this is the right place, but i didnt want to make a whole thread just to ask this ::gaku:: I just ordered kami's memorial box/shinwa and I can't seem to find a good description of what all it comes with, so I was wondering if anyone who has it could tell me what it has inside? So i can make sure i'm not being scammed once it arrives lolol

If there's supposed to be something else in it, I've been scammed. Or maybe there's multiple different versions of it?

I recieved it today and, yup it has all those things Hampo described :) i bought it used (in very good condition spare a slightly dented corner ::hora::) and it came with a Malice Mizer sticker as well, though im not sure if it's official or just put in with it by the seller lol. Seems not to be a bootleg or anything so im happy, this thing is older than me lolol
