I always thought Inhumanity would possibly have been turned into a SS mix, but Cocoon? :| I expected Succubus since the tour was dubbed Succubus garden and all, but meh. Hopefully it'll go on the online store soon.

The Schwarz Stein remix is Succubus -2014-, but that was never one of my favorites from New Vogue Children... I wonder how they'll be changing it ::shifty::

Cocoon is originally from the Hora album 'Cocoon' (::meev::) which was released around July last year. It's a weird track, but it could turn out really cool if executed well.

I always enjoyed Succubus actually; that and Creeper are two of their songs that are always quite dark/drag queen-y, aha. I hope he still keeps that falsetto after the bridge in the 2014 mix though.

I'm hoping for a preview before I order it or anything...

The single is for Presale on Hora's website.

I ordered the CD, but I decided that the shirt and towel weren't worth the cost ^^; It's an expensive month because of some new sound patches I need to buy for my own music production and I'm not sure what I'd do with the towel ::hora:: I have a JILS towel and a Kain towel that used to hang on my cubicle wall and now they're folded up in my closet...

I listened to the original Cocoon and I don't know how they're going to turn it into a Schwarz Stein song because it sounds to me like standard Hora album filler, but I'm excited to hear the new arrangement :) I'm hoping for an album to be announced soon with new songs we haven't heard before, not just new arrangements of old SS/Hora tracks~

(I wonder why this single is more expensive than the previous one... It seems like they had less work to do this time, unless they completely changed EVERYTHING or put more work into the production)

There's still now preview vid/samples which is a little disheartening... I do like Cocoon as an instrumental but I'm undecided as to how/where the vocals will fit in.

Then again Hora's 'fallen' mix of Immortal sounded alright (and darker) so perhaps this is what he's aiming for. At any rate I've pre-ordered the single and I'm happy to provide scans.

Also, I thought I might add this in, but should I post the scans in the download section? I've found things that I've scanned in the past have leaked elsewhere.

That is a weird cover. Would you mind telling us how it is when it comes out?
I'm still waiting to order it depending on feedback.

Yeah, a pair of knees in the mist ::meev::

I guess it's true, there are some things you just can't unsee... ::bleh:: It would be hilarious if those were actually Hora's knees ::hora::

It kind of looks like bug eyes in an upside down cocoon, but I'm not sure...

Nah, then you'd see his Kinnikuman band-aid from when he scraped his knee skateboarding XD

Yeah...gonna agree with Fox here.
Somehow those don't strike me as atomically correct knees lol.

I'll upload a review of each track, along with the scans (to the download section) if anybody wishes to translate. But I'll certainly upload the production credits in this forum.

It is! And I did try and perceive it as two knees but only saw it as two potatoes strapped on to legs. I think it's the irishness in me, honestly. We have potatoes with everything.

(Unless SS have written a song about the potato famine in Ireland and the 'cocoon' they withdraw into to survive. That would be hilarious)

Haha you know, I met a guy from Ireland a while ago (we be friends now).
I'm not sure where...I think it was from the North though.
I was really surprised because his accent was so light.
When I asked him about it, he told me he'd learned to tone it down from living in foreign countries.
Of course, I asked him to speak naturally....

...did not understand a word

But it was pretty!

Ah. I might pick up NVC then. I think they're being released on to the website in limited quantities.

Anyone got a hold of the single yet? I'm thinking mine will be here around Wednesday since it took a week last time.

Double post, but my copy of the single arrived, so mini-review!

To be honest, I don't know what to think.

Cocoon -fallen- isn't a super dark/electronic remix of it's predecessor - it's far more stripped back. It sounds like it would be a cool introduction track since the melody doesn't go anywhere, but no, they decided to make it the lead single. Kaya's vocals are kind of hushed like in Arachne (Queen) but I have no idea what he's saying. On the album art he's eating a cocoon/egg (?!?!) so yeah. It's a little creepy, but pretty disappointing for the a-side.

Succubus -2014- - I expected that if the a-side would be rubbish, this would be the saving grace. It's not. The vocals sound a little rushed, somewhat raspy -- It's a mess.

The cocoon -fallen- inst. is boring as hell so just ignore it, Succubus is kinda cool, though there's a drum kick used in the song and I have no idea whether it just sounds genuinely crunchy, but it doesn't sound great. Either way this is probably the best track of the album which reeeeaaallly says something.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed because it honestly feels like they put next-to-no effort in. Gebet sounded pretty promising, this is kind of lack-lustre. Hopefully whatever new material they release after this is a return to form because I'd hate to see them do a Velvet Eden/BLAM HONEY and release a load of sub-par work that tarnishes their name.
