Some of her songs are quite disturbing ("me and a gun" and "professional widow" come to mind...) but her voice is fantastic, she writes all of her own stuff, her lyrics are clever and amazingly poetic, and she does the piano thing, too. I'm such a sucker for piano.

I'm used to her... been listening to her since I was in 5th grade or thereabouts. I'm absolutely in love with her. <3 Listen to "Winter". If that doesn't captivate you, nothing will.

The only american artist I ever liked was Michael Jackson. And don't you dare say he's a pedophile, lies lies lies lies.

Good lord, take it away!!! I heard take your mama out and almost cried it hurt so much. Ihave never wanted to soot myself so badly. That guy's voice just pierces your brain and can possibly cause an anuerism.
But I do like alot of american bands, I also listen to more americans bands/artists than japanese ones. but I listen to them less often.

    Scissor Sisters:
You know, COmfortably Numb, I am the odd man out that enjoys covers so I rushed out to hear it and didn't enjoy it.
Heard the rest of their material, and enjoyed it much.
    So, its a 50 50 street.
And yes, It was a cover of Pink Floyd

Tori Amos is someone who I have always had a big love for,
it seems like everyone has their 'trauma' stories with her music,
I.E. bad memories of something happening when her music is playing....high school drama or what not.
But shes freaking brilliant, love or hate her shes someone you have to respect. Very clever, her music is. :D
