so, remember all the Mana cooking videos? Guess who apparently also watched them? :D

Now, am I crazy or is he clearly making fun of Mana in this? I can't stop laughing, this is fcking hilarious!

Oh and in more serious news, Gackt has recently been saying covid is just a flu and people need to get over themselves or something. Quite a change from 1 year ago, when he was criticising the japanese government's handling of the pandemic.
And he's moved to Malta. No idea why. There's also a video of him riding a bus, apparently for the first time in 30 years.

"What's with this guy?" "Why is he showing everything to the camera?"
This has to be a Mana parody, it just has to XD

If this isn't a parody then I dunno what's what anymore.
Some of the gestures got me personally, I just wish he'd used a gallon of cayenne powder and thrown half a pepper in the sink too.

    Also there was a LEEK.

(is that really malta? I know English is an official language there, but I didn't expect everything would be in English...)

Having watched those two English videos with Gackt with The Anime Man, I'm actually somewhat impressed by him now as a weird internet phenomena.
I never realized how troll-y and deadpan he was and his ability to speak English and it's quite amazing compared to most other J-rockers out there.

The part I still don't get, did he really make millions only from his music to afford his current lifestyle? Or is it all of the commercial/film work and anime tie-ins that really boosted his bottom line?

Not the other one? You know, the one the reviewer said is full of questionably legal scam ideas lol

Is it just me, or does he seem to be bringing up Malice more recently?
It's hard for me to say, since I really only follow him when I realize he's mentioned them (or if there's Kaya or Rolly).
He could totally have been doing so for the past decade,
and I only recently noticed because MorganIvy started giving updates when he does (a huuuuge thanks for that)

I don't think they've patched things up. In 2019, A fan talked about GACKT in secret meeting, Mana was obviously angry (poker face LOL

@faith I think so too, but tbh I'm not that invested in what he's doing and end up only paying attention when it does relate to Malice (and I stopped paying for that stream thing, but I'd wager he mentioned Malice when one of the guests was the manager from the Vampire Cafe the other day). I'll ask some actual Gackt fans tho

@kaiisis do you have more details on that? What was said and did Mana actually look angry or was it just his normal blank face? :P

Excuse the double post, but I found this, and got resumed translation from a brazilian friend, but I'm not sure I can word this in a way that's as funny as maybe someone translating directly from the japanese (@faith ?)

But basically Gackt talks about when he first moved to Tokyo and a situation at the house of one of the members:

Right at the beginning, like 1min in xD

He said it was the first time he'd been to 2-Chome, the other guy was surprised, and then he starts talking about coming to Tokyo and staying in Ikebukuro and how Shinjuku traumatized him.

You mean the part about how one of the band members casually and periodically had stray bullets ricochetting off their apartment building and couldn't be bothered? XD
I dunno what a kumijimusho is and google's not helping. But it sounds like a miserable place.
Also I thought bullets traverse walls. Well, I guess they didn't this time.

On a side note, I lived in Ikebukuro for a bit back in 2004 and it wasn't dangerous then. But I remember hearing that wasn't always the case.
And completely unrelated, since no one I know in real life would care and I'm already here, I found melonpan soda.

The fan known for her cosplay, loved him since the '90s.

When she told Mana that she attends many MM and M10M’s events.

    Mana: (☆_☆)

Then said she really wanted to see GACKT come back to MALICE and they on stage together.

    Mana: (ー_ー;)

More and more poker face…his eyes been freeze. At last she left without a hug, only shake hands.

The rest of the story where he sees someone getting chased by a halberd-wielding Chinese man and then someone tries to buy paint thinner to huff from him, that's gold too

Just to make it clear, neither of those were Malice Mizer members.
Though it would have been hillarious if paint thinner dude was Mana and that's how they met.

Which of the members do you think had a serious lack of self preservation?
My bet is on Kozi or Kami, personally.

Same. We know for sure Mana lived in Ikebukuro at some point, but I'm not sure when exactly... he responded to a question in the Salon recently saying thats since he's been in Tokyo he's moved houses 7 times (3 within the same condominium, because he liked it so much xD)
