@Nocturne: Ah, I see. Yeah, sorry about misunderstanding that- It was 3am and I was reeeeeally out of it. XD

I hope the new cd's got worthwhile stuff on it as well. I'm sick of all this crap he's been doing lately. Returner and SKIN have been the only silver lining. And I don't doubt that Returner will be on the new album- it would be unlike him not to include it. ::gaku::

@Dogfight: Ohhhh, okay, that makes a bit more sense then. XD Good. One less thing for me to poke fun at him with. (all in good-nature of course.)

 Some people on the bbs thought they might go there- that's so funny.

Well, congrats to them. I wonder which part of france they intend to visit?

I know, it's a big shot xD But the possibility of seeing him elsewhere is even rarer... ^^'' (Not a dear, won't go to France, wasn't being serious, will probably not see Gackt very soon ^^'')

Well, I guess you could always try as long as you were sane and discreet about it. XD No use attracting attention. ;) Like some how 'coincidentally' passing by or something, smiling, and keep walking. XD

"Yes I'm doing this article on Japanese tourists... And I need to take pictures... Yes I'm collecting autographs for a school project, for poor African children..."

I could try! xD

^ Thanks for that!! :D I had to skim through the gundam fanboying there for a bit (only was ever a fan of g gundam and gundam seed XD), but it still told a lot.

So, originally, Gackt said that (and this was before any talk of SKIN) he would come to america in 2009 or 2010 or something like that, right? And now with SKIN, he's gotten this opportunity earlier than planned.

Well......hmmmmmm....if he does 'pause' or stop activities in 2010 or however you want to call it, it'll be sad, but I don't think he will have left anything to be desired. Honestly, gathering what I can from his personality, if he decides to stop in 2010, I think boredom and stubbornness will get the better of him and he'll come back. ::gaku:: Retirement looks really good while you're working, but once it comes, you realize you're bored out of your mind, and for creative people who have the ability and means to carry out their expressions, standing still is a nightmare.

We'll see, though. I just think he needs an honest to goodness vacation undisturbed by everyone. I think that would help him a ton. :)

I was pretty critical of the Gundam album since it's mainly slapped on tracks. It still has that problem. BUT I love the new songs on it.

I do like the remade tracks alot. Ai Senshi shows me Gackt can still sing at least in the Moon style. I definately liked it.

And also, Meguriai is AMAZING. He sings more in the style of Returner which is still pretty close to Diabolos, but it's done very well. I like that the best on the Gundam cd.

A quick review

WOW, im amazed with what he did with Meguriai. Everything about it, the contrasting softness/loudness, the vocals, the english (ha), everything was spot on. He went all out on this one.

I was spoiled listening to the Ai Senshi rip a few times, so I thought I knew the whole song. But he threw in a few curve balls and kept it exciting throughout the whole song. Vocals were great once again. Many people heard this one/discussed this so i'll move on.

suna no juujika~Interlude~ is a nice guitar interlude, i haven't heard the original so i can't really compare it to the original. I have to admit i heard the other 2 songs 3 times each, meanwhile I only heard this once. I had it set to random :P

Honestly I really do like this album. I don't own a physical copy of Crescent or Diablos so owning the other re-released songs are a real plus for me. Other than that, you just have to give Meguriai a listen. somehow..

Snagged a copy- don't ask.... >.>;;;

Ai Senshi sounded just as it did in the Heyx3 episode, so I've no complaints there because it's still just as awesome. The voice harmonization layering works very well with his new style of singing, haha.

Megurial isn't *exactly* back to moon 100% but is more of that 'compromise of sounds' that I've been hoping he'd find at the very least if he really insists on changing how he sings. >_>; I admit, I giggled twice: Once at his english because I didn't know what he was saying at first (and my first thought was 'great, I'm going to have to look up the lyrics now- oh wait, I understand now ::kisaki::), and second at that really high, girly sung note. XD I giggled at that, and then he belted that other note, and then I was really impressed, and then he went back to the girly high notes. My facial expressions went something like :| /:lol:/ O.O *wow*/ ::meev:: *jeez*. That one note he belts, though, they should have let it hang there instead of cut it off, because the cut is really hard, imo, and that's a shame.

I've never heard the originals of these songs, so I can't really judge in that department. They definitly sound 'gacktish', that's for sure, which there's nothing wrong with and it works really well. Like Gackt said, "Just singing over the original track didn't work".

So, overall, I like the two cover tracks. :)

Also, "Kimi ga matteiru kara" is different from the version on Crescent- orchestration is different in some very noticeable places (and some not so noticeable) and he's resung it. I don't know how recent the new vocals are, though. It was funny, though. My ear's used to hearing the Crescent version, and at first there was no noticeable difference except something just seemed 'off' to me about the vocals, and then the chorus came with the different arrangement, and I went, "Oh. ::meev::" XD

I guess it's the Metamorphoze-Single-Version. :)

Yeah, the new songs are really awesome though I don't get why everyone compares his new stuff to his moon-songs. They're nothing like Speed Master, Rain, Missing or Another World. But...each to his own. xP

I like Ai Senshi most. It's pretty up-beat and the heavy parts (before he repeats the last chorus, awesome!) thrills me everytime I listen to this song. I've always loved this kind of breaks.
Very epic songs. They catch this dramatic fighting-theme perfectly. Nice drumming and great guitar-work as always.
