By being THERE publicly stating his ideas on love and life he's doing much more than many other artists (possibly than -any- other Jrock artist).
I won't start with the old "I know people who know Kaya blah blah" even if it's true, and as far as I know he's totally true to himself and spontaneous in interviews. It's not a role-playing. Fellow students did throw stones at him in high school.
If you start your discussion saying you are not even interested in him now, why enter a biased rant about what kind of person he is?
It's totally ok when people disagree when talking about his music, or say they don't like one single or another. I myself am a bit disappointed with Barairo no hibi (although it doesn't make me walk away from him). But entering the "true personality" discussion is dangerous.
