I actually know a few people who were in contact with Dada before/around the time of the VE reunion and yeah, he's abusive. One of the women he was abusive to was really affected by it as well, but has thankfully moved on. I don't wanna say too much because it's not my story to tell, but I don't see either one lying about it.
Honestly surprised him and Kiwamu didn't set up a project together called "Double † Misogyny" or something.

tbh I do get sanctum's point about hearsay. Or maybe it was just meant to be funny; I laughed at any rate.
Either way, I also know people who were hurt by him and saw what they went through and the discussions they had.
So regardless of how many of the rumors are true, I'm confident in saying he's bad news.

That said I should probably clarify the underaged girl thing and let you draw your own conclusions. The person concerned won't care so.
She was in contact with him around the turn of the century through emails, and doing a high school homestay in Japan for the summer.
He invited her to come stay with him in Tokyo (she was in Osaka) for a while. Her host family was like, "nope no way."
So he ended up passing by in full goth makeup and visiting her at her host family's house, where he was 'pleasant and well behaved' according to the family.
Except apparently he drank all the grape juice. And that was the end of it because he disappeared for a few years shortly after.
So who knows. Maybe he's just an innocent gay dude who couldn't even imagine inviting a 16 year old girl to stay at his place could be considered predatory.
It's really up for interpretation since we'll thankfully never know.

Not even a year later, she got publicly exposed with a HUGE document exposing many bad things she did, manipulation and lies she did about many people. She got so hated by so many people that she vanished from the internet, and still hasn't returned.
I'm not into internet drama, so I didn't comment on it, or read most of it, I don't care about these details. But it showed me she lied about many people.
Very shortly after, an old friend of me that once blocked me out of the blue contacted me again to apologise; This same hated girl told lies to this old friend about me, that I was a creep, and also manipulated this old friend to do s**f-h**m...
Maybe what she said about DADA was true after all, but considering the many lies she told about so much people, it could very well be fake.
It's easy to villainize DADA, such a strange and direct individual that doesn't think of the consequences of what he says.
But it's important to take everything with a grain of salt, since you never know the intentions or truth behind what people say.
Also, without diagnosing anyone since I'm not a doctor, there's a small possibility he could have untreated mental difficulties of any kind. Mental health awareness and Japan aren't two terms that comfortable with each other...
I think the chance is there, because of experiences in my life.
I personally suffer from mental difficulties that went untreated for most of my life, which culminated in teachers thinking I wanted to murder and cannibalise a girl of my class. It ended with a police interrogation! Very dark time of my life....
Caused by untreated psychosis that wasn't understood properly. I said many things that I didn't even agree with, caused chaotic and bizarre thoughts unrelated to each other, that people took for granted.
Five years later, me and that girl are the best of friends! High school ending didn't separate our friendship. And the teachers have a good memory of me.
Not gonna call DADA anything, but it's possible!

TBH in the end it doesn't matter whether he hurts people because of mental illness or not, unfortunately.
The fact is that he does hurt people on a regular basis, and that the fanbase isn't in any position to give him the help he probably needs.
So my position that it's best to stay away still holds.

You are right...... Mental illnes or not, he still hurts people with his words/actions. It could be a logical reason, or make it more understandable, BUT still not an excuse to not care about the feelings of others, which is plain wrong.
Also, his history doesn't show attempts to better himself as a person, which is also a bad thing.

While I wouldn't call DADA the best of people, I certainly am not going to think he's the worst either simply based on what is clearly an angry rant posted online by someone he undoubtedly blocked/had some negative words with, and who provides absolutely no evidence supporting their claims, merely words, which could be interpreted in any way by anyone who reads them, which was their intent, I'm sure.
I've had many interactions and conversations with DADA over the years and never once were any of them negative or what I would deem "creepy" or rude. He has also inquired about me coming to Japan to visit him, and no promises were made or any other kind of manipulative measures, it was strictly musically inclined due to us both being vocalists and both working with KALM. Obviously he's had A LOT of controversial and upsetting interactions with others, both in person and online, but with DADA, I believe it's almost always purely situational. Some people he treats very badly and others he doesn't, for whatever reason he makes up in his own mind. I do agree with @Cantavanda that he definitely has some sort of mental instability, however, I think that's part of his creative process too, his ability to create unique art and music that has drawn most fans to him comes from a dark place; his personality has always been questionable and so there's a love/hate view of him with everyone. I formulate my own opinions based on my own interactions with people just in general, because I know how people tend to talk of others that have wronged them, especially online, and anyone can say anything to create a negative image of someone if there's an audience who's willing to listen to them.
DADA is most certainly not perfect and I do agree with @faith that his mental issues absolutely do not excuse his behavior towards others, nor should they ever. He has accountability problems and perhaps he's not even aware that he's doing anything wrong. Who really knows what goes on inside his mind? He's eccentric and thinks differently than most people around him, it seems. Regardless, I'm drawn to the artist and what they portray onstage, not (what should be) their private life.
I do appreciate the insights into the various interactions others have had with him as it presents a different facet to him than what I'm used to seeing, if every rumor about him were in fact true (which obviously is not the case). Japan is somewhat stuck in the past in regards to certain equality issues and from what I recall, Japan has a very young age of consent; not that that makes it okay or even applicable to foreigners in their country, but perhaps DADA doesn't realize the preying aspect of his behavior towards younger women because of this. There's a lot of variables in play that we may never really know the truth of besides what others say and beyond our own interactions with him. DADA has lied and is outright rude to people at times, yes, but other people do the same when their intent is to hurt someone, they lash out. He has a lot to work on to better himself and hopefully he does. But I don't believe in slanderizing people online for revenge's sake or whatever the reason may have been for that person's intent. Personal opinions should be kept to themselves, or at the very least, not displayed online for more hatred to be spread. That applies to DADA as well, he's guilty of doing this many times. There's enough hatred in the world right now...

Dude he's had issues with guys too. Maybe different, maybe not, but still.
That said, he still gets along with Kalm and Dir en Grey right? So it's not impossible to get along with Dada.

I am, in fact, not a girl. However, back when I was heavy into cosplay, I was often mistaken for a girl in my everyday appearance due to my long dark hair and wearing makeup (my sister and I looking identical helped tremendously, though she wasn't Goth). It's what initially got me into Visual Kei to begin with:
DADA actually never asked whether I was male or female back then, but I could understand him mistaking me for a girl. I've since embraced my masculine side since then, but that has never deterred him from speaking to me at all nor changed the tone of our conversations. As I said, he was fascinated that I was working with KALM as a vocalist more than anything and we both appreciated all things Goth. I've honestly never experienced any sort of untoward behavior or comments from him, now or in the past. Anyone who's interacted with him has their own judgement of him, I'm sure. I just don't believe in putting forth a "blanket opinion" of him based on possible misunderstandings because he isn't the healthiest of minds, or because people feel targeted by him. That and the fact that the poster of those accusations seemingly gathered their information from Facebook (a site notorious for misinformation, the sole reason I left that and anything associated with Facebook behind), I just can't put a lot of creedence in it. In what @faith says and others on this forum who are reputable (@flowersofnight, @sanctum, @Cantavanda and various others), I will ALWAYS take into consideration, but some random person outside the forum (as far as I know they aren't on the forum here) spreading what could or could not be misinformation is just not ethical to me. I'm about positivity and spreading it, so consider me naive about DADA and his private life doings if you must, but I'm just not going to spread anything unprecedented about him, true or not. Propagating baseless rumors is just not my thing. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, that is not my intention. Just stating my stance on the whole matter.

Anyway, when Velvet Eden made a comeback and Dada got really active on social media it was a huge "now I get it" moment for me. The guy loved attention, but also got really angry with the fans if they said something bad about him or, as usually was the case, he thought they said something bad about him even if they didn't. It felt like I suddenly understood why VE's line-up was changing all the time and why they probably broke up in the first place. It's probably pretty difficult to work with a person like that.
Artists in general shouldn't interact with fans too much. It's just not healthy, on both parties, and I'm not even talking about anything suspicious stuff. I just think there should be a clear boundary, especially when people like Dada seem to take everything to heart. It's also not good for your creativity if you get too involved with your audience, but that's beside the point.
Dada being something of a "strange person" makes sense when you really think about it. Guy was a drag queen before VE (so it's not just a VK thing), singing karaoke in bars wearing tight speedos and who knows what else he was into. A lot of artists are crazy cat ladies who got blessed with the creative genes and Dada seems to be no different. I personally got unlucky in that field lmao.
However, that doesn't mean I'm going to buy everything I read on social media. Especially if it comes from accounts titled "changeVK" and "#cancel". Like come on now. And like Cantavanda pointed out; are these sources even reliable? Should be taken into account that VK fans online seem to really love spreading BS rumors around. Because Dada is such a "drama queen" it also makes him an easy target, especially if he's pissed people off.

I guess in a situation like this, where an artist turns out to be trash but I enjoy their music, I just make sure that I don't put any more money in their pocket and leave it at that and I think that's the easiest solution.

You were right on par with my thinking. I was just discussing with my friend about the idea of "celebrity" somewhat dying, since it's relatively easy to interact with famous people now, at least online. A lot of the "mystery," especially surrounding VK artists, has disappeared because they show so much of their personal lives online to people now. It's unfortunate that that happens because sometimes the illusion gets shattered of their personas. DADA definitely let too much of his personal life (and views/opinions) show over the years since his comeback in 2010 (he should take cues from Mana, he seems to do really well with leaving that boundary between fans and his personal life intact and that "air of mystery" surrounding him).
Regarding the Twitter user's thread post, the validity of their statements only goes so far and honestly, they're contrived and tired. To me, them doing what they did is a cry for attention/followers and they're just a big a drama queen as DADA (especially with those hashtags). Like you, I'm going to continue enjoying his music and art, and stay out of his personal life. I'm not "plus size", so I don't purchase any of those tights his brand creates and as far as we know, he's done with music, so his past art is really my only focus anyway.
On a side note, I recently acquired a magazine that had a page in it featuring VELVET EDEN. I believe these photos from the page are from 10.31.1999, the Halloween MONONOKE UNIT event? I've never seen these pictures before anywhere. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me:
