Even song/album titles can be compared though. Beast of Blood and Beast of Desire, Forbidden Gate and Beyond the Gate/Forbidden, and even Lyrical Sympathy/Dialogue Symphonie. Ah well, also I've just concluded that Yuki looks the most spectacular and I'd order his version if I chose to buy this. The composition on his cover is also well done. Eyes leading to the title and all of that good stuff.

Versailles basically sounds to me like if MDM and Lareine had a baby.

This is not a bad thing.

Princess is a rather amazing song. Clocks in at over 8 minutes as well. Definitely one of their better songs IMO. Prince which most of us have heard, is also a really solid release.

Silent Knight is also a really unexpected track. I thought it was going to be a ballad type song, but its actually a six minute instrumental.

It really reminds me of like, Joe Satriani and even has some jazzy parts in it. I really love it. Its like Hizaki mixed with Dream Theatre/Joe.

Care to elaborate? Or are you one of those people who think it's cool to like an old band a member was in and completely hate the new one for absolutely no reason other than the members you liked in the old band arent in it?

Okay, so it's not your genre. But as someone that does like this genre, I can tell you it's pretty damned far from "a pile of shit."

Just because you don't like a musical style doesn't mean it's crap. It just means it's not your thing.

I can't even imagine how high I'd have to be to call Versailles shit.

I felt that Prince was a solid song, but princess was horrible. The introduction thing had little relation to the rest of the song, the vocal melody was uninspiring and the guitars were a mess of complexity that I couldn't make heads or tails of.

Also, jasmine/yuki are looking reeeeally good.

I liked the new single. :)

Versailles isn't a band I follow with utter devotion (I certainly wouldn't collect all 5 member versions of the single, for instance), but sometimes they just hit the spot.

I didn't like the new single, but I'll keep following Versailles because I know they can do better. I haven't like anything they've put out as a whole since the first mini-album, save for some really brilliant songs.

They seem to put out one or two absolutely amazing songs among a lot of complete rubbish and that's the only reason I bother to follow them anymore.
