Well i am sure I don't have to warn most of you about computer viruses and prevention and the problems they cause... but I just wanted to note that for a long time now it seems that the Jrock community has passed around a virus here and there.

There is a couple things I wanted to mention specifically. First of all neither amasanin or I have viruses on our PCs nor does our emails. I am sure you are aware of a virus that hijacks someones address book and sends out more viruses to other people and uses names in that persons address book as the sender. Such as you getting an email from "LejuN" because someone might have me in their address book. I assure you they are not coming from me. So please be careful what you open from me. If I do ever send you an attachement without us discussing what it is before I send... I will always leave a detailed description of the contents and not just "hello, here is your file".

Anyway... there is another thing to note. While browsing recently I have come across 2 moi dix mois fan sites that have viruses in their html. I forget the addresses so this is kind of pointless I guess. I think one of them was a specific page at moi-dix-mois.net or something. Anyway... just be careful. Get anti-virus protection and run other programs such as spyware killers often. You could be at risk of losing all your files or worse be subjectable to hacks and such.

moi-dix-mois.net had a virus in a specific page I went to, yes, but then the second time I went it was right there on the main page. I posted about it on their forum but there was no reply for a couple of days and then I never checked again because I was getting tired of removing the virus every time -____-;

How on earth do you get a virus in html?

I only know the basics of html and am under the impression that most viruses come in e-mail attachments, so if this is a horrible question...well...oops?

Viruses are just sections of code. Nothing else, so they can come in practically anything when it comes to computers I guess

It's embedded as script, not html as such. All you need to know is you can get it absolutely anywhere. But a really horrible virus would not be normally lurking on a webpage, those tend to be the annoying spyware/email worm type ones.

Just to note though, there is two. And they both pull up on the first or second page with google. One for sure now is moi-dix-mois.net and the other is a non-english page I believe with a sleekish layout using dix infernal pictures. So that is a warning to those who may have visited this site without any anti virus to warn you about getting infected from it.

Ha! I didn't want to say it but now that you mention it *cough cough* :P

I just checked about 700,000 results for moi dix mois on google and they all had viruses!

I'm not sure..but I think one might be a bit safer when using Opera(and maybe FireFox aswell) instead of IE. Can anyone confirm that? (It probably depends on the sort of virus and such ofcourse...)
