NYC's not THAT bad. Although, I've grown up here so I might not even notice what you're talking about. XD For the most part, everyone is out and about doing what they have to do. It all really depends on what parts of NY you're in though.

I'd love to visit New York City... maybe even attend their Ballet school. It's always been a place I'd love to visit and take lessons at. ^^ And hey, Sky Salt are from NYC... so it can't be that bad.

But Canada is where everything's at. ^_~

I wouldn't advise people visit New York City. It's not all that people think it is. Everything is expensive there. It's gotten so bad that people are fleeing towards the other side of the Hudson. And here we don't need any more people driving up rent prices.

Making this short, if you don't have money, you won't even begin to have a good time. But for me, personally, I don't see what's so great about it.

Everyone I know who came to NY to visit actually got more than they bargained for and had alot of fun. I dunno if you're speaking from personal experience, but that won't be everyone's experience, ne? And not everything is expensive, especially the Luna Sea CDs and DVDs I get for 10 - 20 dollars, that, online and in Kinokuniya, are still over 30 dollars. I also have plenty of friends who live in Greenwich Village, as well as other parts of the city and I've never heard of anyone fleeing to the other side of the Hudson. o__O

Most people dislike where they live, but every time I go on vacation I can't wait to get back to NY. It's always great to come back to Manhattan and get with the shopping.

Yeah that is true. I guess I've lived next to the city for too long.

I especially hate NYCers stuckupness. It's like they think that they are owed everything in the world since 9/11 I despise that >.< Although I'm saying that everyone from the city is like that. It's just the overall impression I get. I guess that is really what fuels my anger towards them.

Also, I really can't find anywhere to go in NYC, it only reminds me off a bigger, more ghetto version of New Jersey.

Some of may find some of what I say ignorant, but I don't care. I stand by what I believe in!

It's true! Being a NYer I know a thing or two about how people were after 9/11, and some people were a bit greedy about this and that, but this isn't the place for all that talk.

Can't find any place to go hm? Well, what are you looking for in a place to go?

Well I'm not big at eating at restaurants, I don't like going shopping (especially clothes and shoe shopping) and I don't really think that NY offers any type of entertainment that I would be interested in... I'm so not into going to parks or musicals, so....

Just be glad you don't live in Jesusland where the guy with a mullet driving a crappy old pick up truck with a confederate flag tries to run you over while calling you a greaser ...

(I have no idea why the hell my parents bought a house like 15 minutes away from the birthplace of the KKK, but I will say, most people here are nice...and for the ones that aren't, they really should try to get their racial slurs right ::erm:: )

I guess I could count my lucky stars... but I'm tired of all of this damned terrorist talk  It just pisses me off. That is why I don't watch the news anymore... that is what it is full of these days. Damn security concerns... which is another reason why I won't go there ever. I'd never ever be able to live a normal (well close to it) life there.

I wanna move...

This struck me as extremely hilarious.

I love California...it's a lot more diverse than people would tend to believe.

I know what you mean. It was pretty bad here after 9/11 too. People were lashing out against all muslims, anyone they thought might be muslim, or anyone that looked middle eastern.

My poor brother looks middle eastern . . . we were walking in the mall parking lot one night about a week after 9/11, some drunk guy zooms past us and throws an empy glass bottle in our direction while screaming "Die Osama!!!"

Dix Princesse: I kinda meant that and I also meant just the land. I've come across people who thought that CA was just one big long beach through and through; I told them I surf to school sarcastically and they believed me and I wanted to cry. But yeah; there's that, and there are great urban areas and quaint suburbs and looooooots of national parks and forests and desert...I've been on a nature kick lately; sorry. :3
