I'm so mad at that damn Chrono Crusade anime. It has NOTHING to do with the games and just uses the damn name of the Chrono series to get attention. On top of that, it sucks. ;[

I lost faith in Final Fantasy after VI. VII is where FF started to fall off the map to me and started to focus on other things besides a great game, like OMFG BISHOUNENZ D:. And Square Enix is falling off the map even further. Although, I'm quite excited for FFXIII due to the new battle system and jumping back to a futuristic style.

Pssh whatever, FFVIII doesn't get the love it diserves
But XIII looks cool~ and XII is coming out in a few days, right?

I actually forgot about VIII. That wasn't a bad game, although there's a bunch of things in there I find to be a little unexplained.

.......................I liked Chrno Crusade (laughs) It was actually written as Chrno but when it was brought to the US they changed it to Chrono which I think added to the confusion. The cartoon version was absolutely horrible though, the comics are much nicer. I'd take Chrono Trigger/Cross over Chrno Crusade any day though

My boyfriend and I actually preordered FF12 yesterday (laughs) We thought it was suppose to be out yesterday and since we were already at the store we just preordered it. We both liked the new fighting system they had when we played the demo so that's why we're interested. I hope this game is better then the others they've been releasing (like God awful X-2 D:<), if it isn't then I've lost all hope in Square-Enix.

I think the first FF Tactics was badass, even though I won't lie and say I sucked horribly at that game (laughs) The new one they had for GBA made me want to rip my eyes out with a fork.

Also I liked 8, most people I know that hated it disliked the junction system. I thought it was pretty easy to use and the card game was pretty fun

I like the Final Fantasy games I own; I haven't played *all* of them, so . . . yeah. FFX was the first PS2 game and RPG I ever played, though I have to say FF8 is my favorite.

Xenogears . . . I've played it, but I can never beat the final boss. D:
Xenosaga . . . I've beat the Episode I and I left off in the middle of Episode II months ago, ahaaha. I quite enjoy the Xeno-series because it's got such a complex story and the gameplay can make you think . . . but all those biblical references go over my head.
And the grandiose structure of events can turn some people off.

I really love Shadow Hearts! I only got to rent the first one years ago and I never finished it, but I own 2 and FTNW and I enjoy those greatly. Shadow Hearts is a neat series in that it's not all ZOMFGZETSUBOUANGST!!!11! The weird and quirky bits are cool.

Umm. I've only played Suikoden III a little bit, but I thought it was neat.

Oh! What about Arc the Lad? I've only played TotS and I thought it was cool.

Then there's Dark Cloud . . . would Parasite Eve count? I can't believe I let PE 1 go to a garage sale. ;0;

I suppose my favorite series is Shin Megami Tensei/Persona! I totally dig the dark elements of the stories presented and the gameplay of contracting with demons. It's like Pokemon . . . but not. Because I'm pretty sure Jack Frost would kick Pikachu's ass.
I haven't played old-skool SMG . . . just Nocturne. My first game was Persona 2: EP. I dig DDS, also. And I want to play Devil Summoner and Persona 3 soon!
I also ADORE Kazuma Kaneko's artwork for the series. *_*;;;

Dark Cloud should count if Zelda counts. As should Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, if that's the case. I'd vote for Shadow of the Colossus if it was included. Great game, but not a series, although it has ties with Ico.

Parasite Eve should definitely count as a survival horror RPG and just a great game in general.

And if you wanna talk artwork, my fave artwork is in Magna Carta, although the game wasn't so great. xD

haha, i like Final Fantasy too . my favorites are 6,7,8 and 4.

the last boss of xenogears is hard, but i leveled up all of my characters to level 100 and they had all combos so , i could defeat GOD!! ...i even recorded it on a vhs...

Suikoden 3 is really great! The most interesting feature is getting the story viewed in 3 different point of views, of each character, and it does not end up being boring! however, my favorite Suikoden still remains to be Suikoden II

Parasite eve 1 is great, (the sequel sucked, imo) , but as kazuo said, i think it is more of a survival horror game with rpg elements.

talking about non-series rpgs, there is also Vagrant Story that is really really awesome. *_*

It makes me sad how alot of people hated FFX-2, I thought it was one of the best games in the series(so far). The critics of FF always complain about angsty main characters and when they give you a cheerful one they complain even more :I No pleasing people I guess.

I liked FFT GBA too but mostly for the story. The gameplay got kind of old quickly and the battles were a little too slow.

Agree I have the first version of the Korean PC game but my ex.boyfriend stole the artbook that came with it I maybe getting the War of Gensis games too, which also come with nice artbooks.

I agree about the greatness that is the Magna Carta/War of Genesis artwork....and about Magna Carta the actual game being rather sucky. XD

I would definately vote for the Chrono series if it were up here. I love Cross so much, and it's probably the only RPG that I have urges to go back and replay it again and again.

A couple of years ago I may have voted Final Fantasy, but after FFX I just didn't bother with the series anymore.

As for Grandia and Lunar, well I only played Lunar 2: Eternal Blue and I thought it was really good, same with the first Grandia. I then played Grandia 2 but wasn't all that satisfied...and then I played Grandia Xtreme and I didn't really enjoy it at all. I have yet to play Grandia 3, however.

Anywho I would vote the Chrono series if it was here D:...I don't really want to vote Zelda yet because I'd rather wait until after I get Twilight Princess.

See, that's what bothers me about FF fandom (not to use you as an example Riz. Sorry xD) but alot of FF fans only know from VII onward, and that annoys me because the real gold of FF was before that time. Everyone knows of the OMFGPRETTY villains and stuff like Sephiroth, Kuja and Seifer, but what about the REAL villains like Kefka, Zeromus and X-DEATH?!
