Okay, im a really big fan of Gackt (even more so than M10M at times, which is surprising as his solo stuff really isnt what i am "into" as such)but after hearing Klaha's song entitled Sayonara ive begun hinking to myself which is the better song?

I know that they are two diferent songs and contain obviously different meanings but i just wanted to know from others who have heard both just why you prefer one version ore than the other. (Please note i would like to get more varied responses other than "Its beacuse Gackt/Klaha cant sing" etc)

Personally i think i will go with Gackt on this one on the basis of the wonderful Voilin work and the way his voice just brings so much power to the song.

Ahh when i was in Spain on the way coming back from my holtel everyone was staring at me when i was listning to Gackt's Sayonara. I think they wernt expecting a kid to be listning to something other than UK Garage/American RnB. :P

Gackt's Sayonara is not my favorite. I don't know why, but it depresses me in a very bad way. I understand it is a depressing song obviously, but it makes me feel bad in ways depressing songs usually don't (if that makes any sense).

And Klaha's Sayonara was very nice. One of the better songs on Nostal Lab imo.

I don't hold a high opinion of Nostal Lab, but lately I've grown to appreciate that song in particular. So I'm kinda diggin' on that. It's tighter and more cohesive and more melodic than many of his other songs. Gackt's Sayonara is...disturbing, maybe is the word you're looking for Lej? I mean, it's a relatively standard ballad, but damn does it mess you up. I'm glad you brought that up because I feel largely the same way but never really could put a description on it. :)
I hear there's a Vidoll song called Sayonara as well, and there's a L'arc song called sayonara, although I don't really have the energy to track the vidoll one now (and I'm halfway through this 20-minute Yes song so I don't feel like stopping to listen to the L'arc one to refresh my memory either :-P)

Disurbing may be a word. Something more, though even o-o;

I really skip it most of the time.

Hmm i can kinda agree with you there, Gackts Sayonara has actually made me shed REAL tears :cry: due to me playing the song when I am at my worst. Klaha's Sayonara jut dosent have that same affect on me though.
Despite the affect of Gackt's version i still like it that lil bit more. (Allthough the the Klaha version is growing on me)

I'm going to go with Gackt's ‘‘ Sayonara. ’’

With the perfect blend of Gackt's piano and You's violin skill, this song hits me hard. I'm a real sucker for sad/depressing songs, so this one hits all my weak points.
