I thought really hard about this and realized both were quite talented so it's hard to pick. Although I do have to say that Yu~ki got a lot more chances to shine.
I wish he'd written more. :-/

A better question would be who's playing style do you prefer. I would pick Yu~ki.

It's just hard to explain, the presence of the bass is softer and less noticable, and also since Moi Dix Mois can occasionally bring about just a blurred image of music (this is not an insult in any way, I like it) so it's also a bit harder to point out certain things.Kazuo wrote:Kazuno's bass plays no role in the music? How does that make any sense? o_O I bet you don't even notice it, but if it wasn't in there, you'd probably hear a huge difference.
So that is why I have that opinion

Yu~ki's technique is admittedly really bad. It shows especially in the bara ni idorarete DVD. There's a really embarrassing part in kioku to sora, for instanvce.
Also, the chikasui myaku solo shouldn't really have been a solo bit. It's a great bassline, I think, but it felt awkward as a solo. Still, his emotion manages to pull me out of that idea, at least when I watch it.
Kaz's technique on the other hand strikes me as good. I'm a sucker for slap, too. And he really sounds like he knows exactly what note to pedal. Yeah, m10m is metal, but Kaz plays a VERY baroque idea of rock bass.
Yu~ki's lines are more loopy, Kaz plays well-chosen notes and lines. It's a matter of taste and I like them both, but I picked Kazuno.
