Can anyone tell me what the hell neo-classical and gothic metal is?

And while you're at it, please tell me what goth is :P

They're terms that were created for pigeonholing and arguing over.

Well but there are pretty good definitions... To avoid the stereotype stuff I mean. I came across one the other day that seemed extremely accurate to me:

Well said.

As far as I know, Goth is an art movement in the past which was religious in nature (wow, irony! XD)

Umm.. yeah. Correct me if I'm wrong, or else I'd have to strangle my partner in reporting for giving me the wrong deifinition.

I think that explains what goth has become culturally, but it doesn't talk about goth musically, as far as being an offshoot of punk, etc. I think THIS is a nice companion site.

Yeah I know.. That's why I asked what Gehenna wanted, cause I know nothing of goth music :P but i really think that site helps with the definition of the concept and culture, which is where most people have doubts and stereotypes
The link you gave is much better though :) thanks
