I may.

If I have time... I work a lot, so it seems kind of pointless to buy a game that I'd only play once or twice a week and be paying monthly for... ^^;

I still may. <3

It just depends how I feel when it comes out (in a couple of days, right?)

Have they decided on a fee yet?

Soon, but not in a couple of days. They just started stress test for Fileplanet subscribers. Open beta starts sometime this week. I'll play open beta and decide if I wanna play EQ2, WoW, or just not waste my money.

Starcraft was, and still is fun. I always prefered warcraft though (it was the original one :) )

Blizzard just announced the game will be released on Nov 23. THe monthly fee is 14.99 per month, or 13.99 per month if you pay for 3 months at a time, or 12.99 per month if you pay for 6 months at a time.

Open beta should start within a week.

I've played the beta, ( a friend let me use her account for a little while), and it is one amazing game. It's not a level grind like other MMORPGs. Plus, there is so much to do besides leveling. All I did was go around exploring. The entrance to Stormwind is just breathtaking. The devs paid a lot of attention to the details. Like the wolves will hunt the rabbits down, your character will leave tracks in the snow. The squirrels are just adorable! The only problem I have with the game is that the male avatars aren't pretty like the ones in Lineage 2 :P Apart from that, the game is really amazing, and definatley worth the 15 dollars a month.

I know what you mean about paying but not being able to play. I have to focus on school, it barely leaves me with time to work. My brother is going to be playing too, so we'll share the account, and the monthly fee.

Yeah, EQ2 is coming out soon too right? I heard that the beta testers were crying that the game is really buggy and shouldn't be released . . . but then again, they are just beta testers. They probably wanted to keep playing it for free. I don't know how good EQ2 will be, but I can vouch for WoW. It is a Blizzard game after all, so the quality and fun is guaranteed.

Ofcourse once the game comes out, I can say good bye to what little social life I had left ::dix::

Yeah, EQ2 is coming the 9th. I'm in the beta, but I havn't really got to play much, as I've only been able to play for the last couple days, and alot of that time was spent downloading the client and stuff. And then my power supply on my other computer died and this one can't run it. So...waiting for my dad to get home from work with one so I can load it up and play some more.

It's been pretty fun, what I've played so far anyways.

If Warcraft is without any Fees,i will seriously think about buying the Game or Client or whatever....and if its not...well,there´s always a good Alternative called "Guild Wars"...nice Online-RPG and most important: It´s for free!^^

Blizzard announced that the launch date is the 23rd, and heard somewhere open beta begins the 9th.

Those dirty whores.

No way am I buying the game(essentially) 3x+ a year(@monthly rate), once I've already paid for the software. Oh Blizzard... what happened to the days of old, when the servers were free...?!

Yeah, I was kind of hoping for a cheaper price. But, it does cost them a lot more to run servers for WoW than it does for battle.net. Plus, they have live staff constantly working to fix problems in the game, and they have live support and stuff. I mean, 15 dollars is a reasonable price compared to other MMORPGs in the market right now.

I'm still thinking about whether I want to waste that money on a game . . .

So what about Guild Wars then...they have to run Servers too and they dont take any extra Cash.
The Battle.Net was also maintained properly with all there Anti-Cheater Actions an so on....they never wanted extra Money. It was Part of Blizzards Philosophy to stay close to the Fans and the Community.
I guess its Vivendi´s work to take Money for this, since they own Blizzard in a Way.That was also one Reason why Bill Roper and some important Staff member left Blizzard.

BTW: Bill Roper now got his own little Establishment. The Work and Staff Formation is still in Progress but i´m sure they will succeed soon.

Yeah, but battle.net works a little differently. I mean, Blizzard is definatley charging a lot more than it costs them, but thats how the world work . . . it's all about money :(

Guildwars is by ex-blizzard people as well I believe.
