I liked Mikage. Why he isn't in Versailles is beyond me, but then again I rarely pay attention to JRock these days. It's all about that SK.

Amatsu wrote: That's all I'm saying. If you don't like them, cool, but really guys? You think they're actually less talented than fucking Hora and Kaya? Seriously??
For real. I can sing pretty much exactly like Kaya, and Hora's music is pretty generic darkwave/ambient electronica. I'm not saying their music isn't good, I'm just saying the talent level is nothing compared to that of like, say, Hizaki. From a technical standpoint, anyways.
playing guitar is pretty easy but it takes a lot of skills to know when to turn knobs or click on a mouse to make cool sounds and phat beats
I like Versailles and enjoy many of their songs but some of their shit you can only listen to so much before it's boring and not replayable So maybe HIZAKI's solo stuff is better because I can still toss in Mizerable, Lunar Eclipse and be YEEEEEEEAAAAH. Anyway, Versailles is good and they're certainly a bunch of talented cross dressing fags but there are better symphonic metal acts out there. It is unfortunate that most of us VK fans are a bunch of douche fags and will only listen to bands that are even bigger douchier fags in overprice designer dresses.
- I like M10M. - I've spent the last month or so going crackers about Velvet Eden. - Kaya's a bit hit and miss for me (although he has grown on me a bit recently), but I have no reason to criticise him or his music. - I like Versailles, and they're amazing live. - I'm not overly familiar with Hora- I listen to stuff he's been involved in from time to time but I'm not an expert. However, I have no reason to crticise him or believe he's bad at what he does. From what I hear he's very talented. Widen the poll a bit? I'd quite like to give the 'Worst Band' title to someone who's actually earnt it. The worst Japanese bands I've heard... one was... Eremia, I think they were called, but I'm not 100% sure and might be implicating an innocent band by mistake. Whoever they were though, they were useless and their vocalist was awful. There was also a band called BeaU, and I have no idea what they were trying to do but it wasn't working, whatever it was. Oh, and I might get a thwack for this, but Zigzo. They sounded too much like McFly or Busted, even the presence of one of my absolute favourite vocalists couldn't rescue them.

And the rest of the poll reads like a who's who of my favourites. In terms of "really" bad bands, I was surprised at how awful Sadie and Serial Number were live since they seem to be popular, but they aren't the worst I can think of. I can't remember their name since it's been a few years, but I doubt this band still exists anyway. They played the usual generic rock, instead of walking they hopped like rabbits and all wore cheap Chinese quipaos, except for the vocalist who wore a canary yellow jumpsuit and no underwear (which was very apparent when he hopped up and down). He couldn't sing very well either. Equally awful were Uma, who actually produced a CD (I saw it at Closet Child once). I don't know why they even played at a VK event since they didn't wear costumes or makeup, but scruffy t-shirts and combat pants. Their music sounded like a mix of bad rap and I guess Sepultura. Halfway during the 2nd song pretty much everybody had left the auditorium. And then there's The Mad Simpson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oby0bRxPeis The usual Dir en grey mannerisms and they wear gas masks on stage, including the vocalist, so all you hear is some muffled noise.
Lem wrote: Um, someone put this in their sig right now. I would, but I can't really include myself in the "us VK fans" category.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyROzjXaa0Q This is without a doubt the worst Japanese band. They're kinda like Josie and the Pussycats...
I have another suggestion: Hangry and Angry. I mean, aren't you supposed to learn how to play the guitar before you join a 'rock' band? Those girls are clearly Idol singers, and some silly executive is trying to shove them into an image they just don't fit. Watching Hangry and Angry is like watching a fish on a bicycle. ::kisaki::

I think it's impossible to widen the poll to include other Japanese artist, can you imagine how big it would be considering most VK bands are pretty shitty! Amatsu wrote: I would be that would be kinda vain
The worst japanese band is this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tNSr3jLEZc It is so bad.....so bad, that it ends up being funny.
