-Mods, if this is not allowed feel free to kick my ass-

I thought I'd just make a new topic specially XA-VAT related to keep things a bit separated and because Közi has more then just one project going on.

Well that and because the 'New project for Közi' topic was originally made regarding DALLE.
I think it would be nice if we have dedicated topics to his different projects again, no?

For the ones that have been living under a stone the last few months, the official website link:

http://xa-vat.biz/

Anyway to baptize this new topic officially, have some backstage XA-VAT photo's:

I really want to see one of their live shows damn it.

'They' will most likely pronounce it them selves as 'ksah - batto' or 'sah - batto' because the Japanese phonetic pronounciation for forgein names that end on a T always get an O behind it (For example the city Utrecht becomes Utorechto or Romeo & Juliet becomes Romeo & Julietto) but definitely no american pronounciation of the 'A' sound in XA-VAT.

I already listened to ZEROTICA and XanadOom, i have to say that i like what i hear, will be definately looking foward to their next releases. ZEROTICA is like a mix of industrial and synthpop, and it has a lot of guitar. I think that people who like Kozi solo music will also appreciate this. It's a catchy song. Very good.

XanadOom sounds a bit like Eod, it's more like a pure industrial song, some of the effects really reminds me of Eod, but the song itself does not sound like any Eod song. Lots of effects on vocals and guitars. Solid song, Zerotica is still better, though.

From what I read in the interview with Ishii they discribe it as 80ies techno pop so with Camuflagem's words I am even more curious~

The katakana is ザバット (ZABATTO) but I think I'll just say it as "za-vat".

Reposting that Ishii interview link again from the old thread:

I won't be hearing the CD for a while yet because I ordered it to come with M10M's D+SECT ::kisaki::

@ pierrot~hime: Thanks for sharing those pics.

Thanks Flowers for the link, that picture make my day.

I also piggy back the xa-vat cd with mdm cd. I hate CD Japan, I ordered the Invite to Immorality DVD, they have it in stock the entire time but said it was back ordered 3-4 weeks and then a month later cancelled that item, said it’s not available. Obviously they don’t want to give me at that discount price. On top of that they sent the remaining of the order 2 days before the xa-vat release day. Now I have to wait till then end of the month for the xa-vat cd.

Sorry back to topic, lucky Japanese fan can get a bonus postcard when purchase Xa-Vat cd at the music store. I wish they'd offer the bonus through CDJapan like MdM’s.

What, about the Japanese phonetic pronounciation? Isn't that the first thing you learn with Japanese? I my self pronounce it as 'ksa-vaht' because that is how I would read it in my mother language but when speaking about it with native Japanese people I also pronounce it as 'ksah-batto/sah-batto'. (In case you are wondering why I write down a 'H' in it while there is no H in Katakana; it's because it's easy for native American English speakers to get the 'A'-sound wrong when pronouncing things in Japanese. If you would say "Ah, I see" for example the sound of that 'A' in 'Ah' is the sound used in Japanese pronouncing lol. Hope this makes any sense.

Edit: Oops didn't see konayuki replied first, sorry lol.

Too bad it's incorrect. ::erm::

Really now? If you take XA-VAT and turn it into katakana you will most likely get クサバット / ザバット meaning Kusabatto or Zabatto but when actually pronouncing it you would not say KU-sabatto but Ksabatto or Zabatto. The U wil get 'swallowed' often in many 'Engrish' words and even in Japanese it self (For example desu - pronounced as DES). Next to that the Japanese pronounce a V as a B. Not wanting to create any drama here but if you think that is incorrect then instead of saying something is incorrect would you mind sharing with us what you think that the right pronounciation is?

Also, just for the reccord my friend Konayuki is a second years Japanese Uni student and all 3 of my housemates (all of them second and third years Japanese Uni students) agree with my explination as in how to pronounce XA-VAT in Japanese~
