First off, for anyone looking to buy the album: you can't buy it on amazon.co.jp without a Japanese credit card (this seems to be a new rule) but it's available on US Amazon here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072WJWLW1
I'm not sure if supporting Amazon is any more ethical than supporting Apple these days, but at least you don't have to install iTunes
Very brief thoughts on listening:
電磁男達 ("Electromagnetic Men"): I'm not sure I agree that it's "Kozi-like" but it's definitely more like Japanese rock than the 80s stuff ZIZ was putting out before.
瑪瑙ピエロ ("Agate Pierrot"): Kind of sounds like a spiritual sequel to "Curious Nuance" with less electronics. I approve! Really great to hear something experimental again from Kozi (and/or his collaborators)
徴 ("Sign"): Aight, I'm a sucker for anything with the lounge horns or anything that sounds like it belongs in Casino Night Zone
(See also: Klaha's "chameleon no seppun" among others XD) The songwriting could maybe be tightened up a little to keep the momentum going, but on the whole I enjoyed it.
シルクと鉄屑 ("Silk and Scrap Iron"): Fine but didn't really move me one way or the other.
クリスピーキッス ("Crispy Kiss"): I still don't understand, why crispy?
But the song is fun, which is something that I think has been missing lately. And as
@DarkestRafflesia mentioned, the guitar parts are indeed excellent on this track.
EDIT in-place:
Denzimans reminds me Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme at beginning! O.o
I can't unhear that now
