Yeah, I just discovered thinner a few months ago. I saw it at Sally Beauty and was like, OMG WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!! Because I have so many bottles of old, thick polish. It was a good purchase - it works great and I don't have to throw out like 20 bottles of polish now.

yeah thinner is usually not found in supermarkets/general stores but beauty supply stores should have them. (although stores like target DO have 100% acetone, which is closer than using nailpolish remover)
just remember that these products will eventually warp the polish, diminish the quality and separate the colors in the polish when used over and over so go easy on them.
