omw to listen this live at Zepp Haneda god bless- ::gaku::
I don't want to be a such a killjoy, but I believe there is a chance that this composition will be even.... A little bit bad? Due to the lack of releases, it could be that this is another uninspired or incredibly inspired one, even too much. However, it is good to keep in mind that it is a collaborative work, so it may be that some changes will happen from the other members involved, suggestions and the like. Mana is not composing anything that is really impactful recently, and this project I believe it serves that purpose, as well as being a milestone, just look at the 60-page photo book. I hope I'm extremely wrong, since it's like someone said above, he seems to be trying and he seems to know he can keep going, by the visible prominence of him on the poster. It shows the responsibility he is having on his back because of this.

Information as to where the new JVM single can be purchased is available at Chateau Agency's website here:
Chateau Agency Shop JVM Single info

Available through the usual suspects Amazon Japan, Tower, CD Japan. All ship outside of Japan.
Along with HVM (Lawsons) and Like an Edison. Apparently HVM ships outside of Japan.

Each retailer has different extras with the CD Single, which is scheduled for release on September 20th Japan Time.

Also JVM Roses Blood Symphony has a new twitter account that has a snippet of the song.

No teaser of Mana's cembalo part though, I guess that's only for paying customers ::mana::

Yes, I've ordered stuff from them before and ordinarily (that is, when trade routes aren't shut down for the plague) they will ship overseas.
No idea if they'll ship the B2-sized JVM poster though.

CDJapan doesn't have any picture of the alternate cover they're offering, but one can at least preorder if one is so inclined and willing to roll the dice on their customer service:

Supposedly "only 15 of originally supplied quantity left" already, who knows if that means anything.

As for the music itself: is it just me or are the drums really kind of incessant and grating? Is that the style in this kind of metal?

My guess is they haven't even been given any images of the CD.
As for the amount, most likely that is a placeholder number, and they haven't actually been told how many CDs are going to be made.
Amazon Japan also has it for pre-order with much cheaper shipping than HVM and probably CD Japan and Tower. Tower seems to be using a shopping service now.
Amazon JP was about $26 for CD and shipping to US. I'm fine not getting a poster.
I've bought from Amazon JP before and the shipping was quick and packaged well. So I'm good with this.

Oh right, Versailles' Teru is doing the artwork for the CD...

edited to add in regard to the drumming, it's not enough of the song to be able to know if it's like that throughout the song. Kind of hard to put together a song with four different drummers, tbh. Four singers, four or more guitarist, even four bassists, no problem. Drummers are a unique beast.

I pre-ordered a copy on amazon about a month back, I wonder if there'll be any extras. From the short preview, it sounds like a typical Kamijo song. Their singing voices are really strange. Given how distinct each voice is (to me) I can't make out any of their individual voices except for Kamijo's falsetto.

Not expecting anything but I hope the artwork doesn't turn out to be a Marvel-Avengers type collage that it currently is ::zetsubou::

Supposedly a postcard of the main artwork.

That's true, maybe it's just that one guy I don't like, whoever it was in the clip.

Possibly. MASASHI of Versailles posted that there is a bass solo where all four bassists play. I know bands that had two drummers (Adam and the Ants for one). That takes a lot of practice together. I don't know if all four drummers played at the same time in this song. It's more likely each took a section of the song.

So everyone took part in the recording. It's likely the song will not all be the same throughout. It will be interesting to see how this is mixed.

I recorded the radio broadcast. Here you have it:

(removed link - flowersofnight)

It definitely sounds like Versailles with Mana's synths. The chorus sounds like something from Attack on Titan LOL

Yeah, that's not quite playing fair. I mean, we do have a loose sort of "not in print" rule, but I don't think that means "not yet in print" XD

If people heard the song and want to discuss it, that's fine, but we can't be distributing it here. People do take that stuff seriously.

Where could you have listened to this though, does the radio station have a RealAudio feed Youtube channel or something?

EDIT: and by the way, on the topic of doing things that make Midi:Nette angry, we have a pretty clean record so far which I'm trying to keep. I did once get an angry missive from a tour promoter who claimed (without proof) that Midi:Nette was incensed over some materials and rumors posted here, but no one from the Dark Lord's HQ ever personally took issue. So far.

They played the song on a public FM radio and the song is on Radiko, can be heard for free here https://radiko.jp/share/?sid=NACK5&t=20230908190000&noreload=1

I did my research before posting the link here, this is not a leak neither pirating the song. DJ Asai presented the song, and then they played 4 minutes (according to Kamijo, the song would be 7 minutes long).

When Hyde, or any other famous jrocker artist play something on that exact same FM radio (FM Nack5) everyone share the recording because it was played freely on a public FM radio, and no one asks for it to be deleted.

I'll make a note of that, even though it's geo-locked to Japan and I stubbornly and stiffneckedly refuse to get a VPN. Most of the time I don't come across too many occasions to switch locations, although if they ever lock America out of the auction sites like they did Europe, I'll knuckle under XD

Seems like they have a lot of channels on there, at any rate.

Just because they don't contact a specific person to ask them to remove a download, doesn't mean it's okay.
I know for a fact that Japanese musicians are really unhappy with all the illegal sharing of music and videos. It's why they are streaming less online, and trying to limit it to Japan only.
It's to the point where it's hurting everyone, including all fans. Because it limits what we get, and it makes all of us look bad.

Sorry but is not fair, Im stealing nothing. "It's why they are streaming less online, and trying to limit it to Japan only." Every major and indie artist now publish on Spotify and on the other streaming services the exact same day as the physical CD release. "It's why they are streaming less online" don't say that, it's not true.

It's not the full song, they played an extended version from the one on the JVM twitter account.

By putting it online, when the bands haven't even done that isn't stealing?

Great way to get them to not want to stream anything further in regard to the music or lives.

Four minutes is enough to be considered a song.

I'm not going to argue about this. It's stealing from Mana, Moi dix Mois, Kamijo, Versailles, Asagi, D, Matenrou Opera and everyone who works for them, and from the fans who respect the bands and don't do this sort of thing.

Yes, copyright exists in Japan. Taking music and video and sharing it online is a crime in Japan.

Besides being disrespectful to the artists who created it.

Putting music on Spotify was not what I was talking about. It's streaming of lives and the like which they are doing less of because people outside of Japan keep taking the paid feeds and putting them on YouTube and download sites, even before the paid feeds are done.

It makes all of us look bad.

You might not care about everyone else, but it does make us all look bad.

And yes the musicians know who some of the people who are doing this. That includes Mana.

I'm not going to argue any further about this. I get it that it's rampant online. Doesn't make it okay to do it.

I don't really want to get into whether home taping is killing music or not, but at least here I prefer to just leave the music distribution to the authorized outlets. Let the radio broadcast it and stream it if they want, since they have the rights.

In my personal reckoning I consider this the flip side to the blind eye everyone turns toward what we do with old abandoned material. When it comes to current, unreleased, and pre-release material we have to draw a line around it, even if that's stricter than what you could get away with in practice.

Just ordered my copy. I hope my 1300 yen helps support Mana enough to release a new Moi dix Mois/Malice Mizer album.
