I thought the cover would be different, I was expecting something more attractive since Teru was in charge... Anyways, Tower Records shipped my copy along with ZIZ new album and can't wait to have it on my hands.
Now I'm just crossing fingers for Mana to put MdM version on midi nette store, I hate paying fortunes to resellers on mercari or yahoo.
There's going to be some extra merch, I want that pamphlet too. 20230919_122427.jpg

I ended up just ordering my copy from Bezos because there was a book I wanted too.

That pamphlet/album cover is a classic, I'll always mark out for the lord of darkness sitting on fine tufted leather furniture.

CDJapan is offering an alternative cover art as bonus, so I just ordered a second copy that I'm probably selling  but I'm keeping the bonus, it looks so good ::mana::20230920_095458.jpg

The alt cover does look better! Has anyone listened to it yet?

My copy hasn't even shipped yet :( I wish I could purchase a digital copy so I could just hear it.

That warm tone alternate cover looks 10x better! Great that all of the M10M members are included.

I'm so desensitized at this point to Mana's being, but I just realized (in JVM) he is the only non-vocalist functioning as the face of his band. a testament to his talents and star power.

off topic, but do the other bands in JVM have a "leader/master" or are they more democratic?

I don't know about these specific bands, but in general having a so-called "leader" doesn't seem uncommon. As for democracy... well, M10M has always been very specifically and insistently "Mana Project" as opposed to a real band. So it's quite a bit further toward the monarchy end of the spectrum XD Other bands may have leaders but there's only one lord of darkness ::mana::

A Chilean attending the first show got me this, I'm so happy I didn't had to pay overpriced. All the bands played the new song at the very end.

Is Diablolus et Angeli a SE track? My copy arrived today. The postcard is an exact replica of the cover. I can't listen to it yet too because I've just changed my set up and have no disc drive now ::batsu::

I listened to the track. It's okay - I think Versaille's recent single Vogue is much better. I guess with these multi-band releases it's especially tricky -someone's vision has to be compromised, and when you try to incorporate everyone's musical vision it also gets overly convoluted. I think I heard some Moi dix Mois riffs in there (before and during the shouting part lol) but the harpsichord portions were really lame, it was only like 1-2 bars of triplets. It shouldn't have been mentioned as something to look out for. I wish there was a lil more invovlement from Mana. The most interesting thing for me was the solo from the basses. The worst thing has got to be the Attack on Titan choral bits.

I have next to no interest in this project so I haven't been following it, but how long is the song?

lol I made the same connection

It is insulting that Mana's picture is even on the cover of that single, let alone that his face is the biggest and in the top center. He contributed nothing.
I pray it is because he is so busy working on music of his own that he simply had no time to come up with something to add to this song.
I was waiting for the Mana part up until the last 30 seconds when I knew it was already too late. nothing was coming.

I'm starting to fear Mana has some terminal illness and that is why he's being throw so many bones by these other bands.

You didn't think the first bit at 0:34 to 1:03 was right out of the M10M playbook?
I also agree with @Phantom Pabulum that there are some M10M-styled riffs in that one "shouty" section, as well as those scattered harpsichord flourishes. I mean, considering Mana didn't actually write the whole song, that's decent representation when there are 4 bands and a bajillion members waiting for their spotlight.
And yeah, I can't unhear the "Attack on Titan" thing now ::meev::

On the whole, Kamijo's melody was catchy but the song as a whole was just a grab-bag of styles, as it inevitably had to be. Maybe it would have been more interesting if they did a whole collaboration album where they could do a more measured blending of styles. But you know, who's got the time...

What music?
::gaku::
Whoa whoa whoa, what are you saying?! Weren't you at Christmas Party 2013, Christmas Party 2014, Christmas Party 2015...

I'm starting to fear Mana has some terminal illness and that is why he's being throw so many bones by these other bands.
Nah, I'm afraid it's something worse than that. It may well be that he's got what every true musician dreads: a job.

I wonder if this tour garnered Mana any new fans. I forgot to take note of his Twitter follower count pre JVM but right now its "67.5K". Anyone know what it was before the JVM tour? The number of likes on his posts don't seem to have increased.
