Okay, I can't be the only person who has thought about this.

If you have, have you ever dreamed of being a member of a visual kei band that you invented, or being part of an existing one, what would your name and role in the band be?

If you would like to name the band you have ever wanted to join, please do so as well....

I'm not gonna lie, I've dreamed of having a band where I dress in a very Hizaki style only gothic under the name of Kuro, being a drummer. The name of band was Queendom. Pretty generic, I know, but I think I was pretty young.

Named after the SHOW-YA album?

I'd name the band Carotid Cathedral, or Vascular Veneration, we'd combine the best of gothic vampirism and monstrous musculature. Percussion would be supplemented with deadlifts performed live on stage, think Tchaikovsky's Overture, but crashing barbells instead of cannons. So visually something like Castlevania meets Mad Max.

It would be... Like... Power metal then? XD with a bit of gutural. By the way, I would totally buy a Carotid Cathedral shirt!! - Sounds like hmm doom metal? Probably because the "Cathedral" part .

To be honest, I think the closet irl band to my "dream one" would be Versailles and Moi Dix Mois, like a sallad of EGA. Hell yeah!

I used to think having your own visual band would be the coolest thing ever, but then I realized the interesting ones were very much the exception to the rule and by 2001 or so the genre had already largely died. These days I think you'd just want to go for something theatrical or avant-garde in your own way. I mean, even Mana needs a new custom genre for what he does nowadays.

Not vkei, (altho I wanted it to be) my friends and I tried to start a band called "Onion Research Society" 鬼音研究会 lmao. Onion was supposed to be 鬼音 (oni-on), "demon sound". I wrote 2 songs but it went nowhere.

I took it seriously and now i'm doing a solo project called "Saturnalia999" the nines meaning infinity and i am glad i pursued it haha 'cause i've had some gigs and the feeling i got from the first one was something like "i was born for this"
I called myself Satou when i was like 10 and got into Mana-sama but some friend used to call me Satu and then people started to ask if it was because of saturn so i decided to choose Saturnalia because it was more delicate and femmenine.

To be honest, Saturnalia sounds like the name of some VKEI artist who takes things more on the fairy side. Something very beautiful and mystical.
People would theorize that your name is Satu hahaha

Yes! And it means sugar and i am really addicted to sugar so i thought "it is for me" then i got into Velvet Eden and subsequently into Vivienne Satö which reinforced my taste for the name

Well i had released some trip hop and darkwave tracks and working on some symphonic gothic metal ones so my sound may vary and include elements from different genres, i am mostly influenced by Malice Mizer, Velvet Eden, Art Marju Duchain, Aliene Mariage, Blam Honey, Moi dix Mois, Schwarz Stein and such and for the image i tend to shironuri face and gothic dresses.

Eh, I didn't have a special name or role. I just used my irl name (Zach). I can't really play any band instruments well but I'm good at working a midi sequencer, so that's what I did. The genre was supposed to be "doujin music" (lmao) because the rest of them were hardcore otaku. I don't have a very good grasp on what doujin music entails, so I just wrote whatever I fancied.

I was thinking something closer to this Korn song, but swap out the slap bass for a demented harpsichord and make the guitars a little doomier and twink Danzig on vocals.
