After so many years of the mainstream media ravaging normie's brains with anti-Trump, Corona hysteria and now the situation in Ukraine do you think it will ever possible for them to go back to normal?

M'y friends are funny. We're in Madrid and they're like "you can't trail behind come be in the middle. No one will forgive us if we lose you."
Sure I'm a bit space and not entirely safety, but I'm also an adult who has navigated Delhi on my own. I think I can manage Spain lol

Anyway, I am glad to announce that I have not been lost for forever yet.

Your friends are smart, I almost lost you in Bavaria.

I'm not going to try finding it because you probably go right onto The Watchlist if you do, but I'm guessing this is just another one of those NFTs that's nothing more than a URL pointing to a JPG on Geocities or wherever. Most likely the "indestructible propaganda" will be just a dead link in a month. Even a lot of ordinary NFTs that people paid real money for are already dead.

For that matter, I'm guessing those old, stale NFT billboards in Times Square are also advertising companies that no longer exist ::meev::

Don't worry Mr. ofnight, I have a description for you

...the terrorist group’s logo and a brief description of an attack on a Taliban position...Titled IS-NEWS #01, it was one of three uploaded by the same ‘artist’ on the same day last week. The other two depict a man in full gas mask apparently manufacturing explosives and a comparison shot showing a cigarette next to a traditional toothbrush to discourage smoking – a crime under Islamic State rule...

"indestructible propaganda"
I did track down some of their videos on LiveLeak back in the day and they were surprisingly slick with a pretty high production value. Funnily enough one of them extolled the caliph as being a place of diversity and equality, unlike the United States.
Something about being united in piety and equal before god.

Speaking of propaganda, North Korea have recently been taking steps to improve the production quality of theirs.

I had a bad(?) experience with Mercari recently.

I bought a pair of speakers, but the seller neglected to include the copper-coloured audio cable so there was no way for me actually hook them up and test them.
Of course I could have just bought some speaker cable, but I don't want to do that just to test if something works, especially when it was included in the product listing.

I contacted the seller and they told me to check the box again and of course I told them that it wasn't there.
No reply, so I decided to wait a few days and give them a chance to respond.
Still nothing, contacted Mercari support and they told me to contact the seller again and wait 24 hours, after which they'll take over.
No response, Mercari escalated the matter and contacted the seller directly giving them 24 hours to respond.

The 24th hour passed a moment ago, so Mercari support automatically cancelled the transaction, and refunded me the money.
So now I have money in the bank and an expensive pair of speakers.

Everything worked out in my favour but I'm not really sure how I feel about the whole thing.

24 hours is ridiculously strict, Ebay at least gives you a few business days I think.
I generally just "charge it to the game" when I get a complainer, but it's typically the buyers of the cheapest stuff who complain most.

I can only assume that since the seller hadn't responded to any of my messages since the 3rd, and that the only assistance they provided me was to check the box again, that it was a lost cause.
I have also heard of Mercari customer automatically cancelling transactions, without a request from the buyer, if the seller misses the shipping window they selected when making the listing.
As is to be expected, when it comes to rules and procedures the Japanese don't mess around.

On the other hand, check out this diagram that explains how refunds are handled.

I'm but a mere mortal, but am I to believe that they charge you, refund the money, and then charge you again in order to refund you?

So did they charge you and refund you again in the end? The suspense is killing me.

We had a vacation incident. There is a church in Jaca, Spain with a creepy Mary statue corner set up. Instead of stained glass they have this semi transparent marblish getup on the windows and very little lighting. Place looks like death. Highly recommended.

So I finish admiring that and walk towards my group of friends, only to have a certain Paul whisper to me that I made him sin in a church. He's single and on the lookout, and he was checking out this chick like olala who's that... Only it turned out to be me. Oops. So he goes, "goddamnit it's faith."

When he told me that I said, "you were checking me out? Goddamnit Paul." And thus did we both sin. Then we had to urgently exit the church because a herse was coming. The end. But at least I fit into my dress thanks exercize.

Please, I'm sure those were marriage-minded eyes. ::gaku::

Actually....yes they were. He's not looking for hookups. He's also, thankfully, not looking for me either.
The situation was much more funny than awkward, though I should probably show gratitude to the interruption hearse for its efforts.
Pic for proof (cause I like my dress)
