CDJapan not carry Moi dix Mois new goods this time

Moi dix Mois just released some new Vingtième anniversaire goods for ~Moi dix Mois 20e anniversaire~, I thought CDJapan will carry those items, but they said they don't have plan to sell these items and not carry Moi dix Mois items. I have contacted Midi Nette, they said CDJapan would carry those new goods but CDJapan keep denying. I saw there is a shopping cart for overseas call "Buyee", but people said it is a scam, don't use it. My friends in US and Canada now cannot buy their items through CDJapan.

I use Buyee and it's not a scam, although people may or may not like their fee structure. I think it annoys people because it's very cheap up-front but then there's a lot of nickel-and-diming that goes on on the back end. Overall in the final reckoning I think their rates are competitive, and their "secure packaging" option is excellent if you need it for things like electronics.

CDJapan has been circling the drain for a while, hasn't it?

I don't know why Midi Nette still told me to preorder it from CDJapan if they have buyee, CDJapan just keep saying they don't have plan to sell these new goods from Mdm. It's weird.

My friends in US and Canada said they have no problem preordered the photobook which released last November, their EMS shipping method is very fast, they hope to have those T shirt this time from CDJapan. They have points in CDJapan. CDJapan has other bands' new items, how come they don't have Mdm 's new goods?

I used Buyee quite a bit around 7 years ago with no issues.

I'm just going say I don't think MdM sells enough products for CDJapan to take the business.

CD Japan never actually had Moi dix Mois and MALICE MIZER merchandise. They would take customers' money and then order it from Midi:Nette. They were notorious for having items listed that they can't even get any more. There have been problems in the past on CD Japan's end of things, I know from personal experience and emails from them. So actually this move is better for customers, since you will get your items faster, and the items on Midi:Nette's website are actually there.

Moi dix Mois does have enough items. That's not an issue since CD Japan has a lot of musicians that don't have many items available.

btw it looks like Midi:Nette revamped the web shop. It's easier to navigate there now

just to add that I've used Buyee on the site twice now and not had any problems. extra fees are a given with shopping services. at least I know I will get what I paid for. unlike CD Japan.

This is actually true, something funny and sad happened to me not so long ago, when I was ordering the new phamplet for some reason philosophy I was showing up in stock, i couldn't believe my eyes so I quickly ordered it thinking that after all this time I finally got a copy but the order end up being canceled a couple of weeks later with no further explanations

OH! Buyee is ok to order for oversea? Because my friends in US and Canada have issues shopping through buyee 2 years ago, they ordered and paid, but not receive items, and their credit card numbers was stolen after using buyee.

What do you mean by middle man in Japan? You mean the middle man can order the item and ship to the friends in oversea? Then how could they pay?

My friends in Canada and US has no problem buying Mdm concert T shirts, photobook from CDJapan last year, I think people can write to CDJapan and let them know people from oversea want mdm item so much. Yesterday they replied to me and told me that these items may show up in their website later because they are still contacting with Midi Nette

I use FromJapan since 2012, and I highly recommend them, never had any problems with them, everything is super clear and easy and their customer service is really good and they are working with mercari again!
I didn't have a good experience with buyee, last time I shipped some items and believe me the amount of packing materials inside that box was insane, I feel I end up paying shipping for a bunch of garbage that I had to recicle later on.

Mine was the Matin tea cup. Even after they finally admitted they don't have it and finally refunded me, they didn't remove it from their site for months.

And that's the other thing. If they mess up, they don't like giving refunds. Instead they told me they would give me store credit. Which I did not want. That's really not okay since they didn't have the item in the first place but still took my money for it when I attempted to buy it.

And they messed up two items in my order back then, sent me the wrong things and then tried to blame Midi:Nette for not putting the numbers that CDJapan uses on the items. Nope, CDJapan's employees didn't bother to check the items that came in (there were many items ordered by customers then because it was right after DSVI) and sent me the wrong color of t-shirt and a tote bag instead of the MdM apron that I paid for. Their employees put the wrong item labels on the individual items.

Then it took months to get the right items. They dragged it out even though it was their mistake and then bad mouthed Midi:Nette to me, blaming them and not their own mistakes.

If a person doesn't trust Buyee, there are other shopping services like Japonica Market and Celga. As for CD Japan, I use to buy Moitié from them back when and never had a problem. Now I would not buy from them at all.

There is also Japan Rabbit, which was White Rabbit before. I've used them in the past and they were fine. Not as responsive to messages as some services but they always got what I bought and shipped it out timely.

Celga has been around forever. I've used them in the past and they were extremely nice and helpful.

There was another one Andrea mentioned to me when the pandemic started. Was it Noppin? It was a service that a lot of lolitas use.

There are alternatives. As a long time buyer of things from Japan, I recommend ones that I've used and haven't had major problems with.

Just thought I would mention that I just received my Moi dix Mois items that I bought using Buyee and everything went fine. Necklace is nice, dolman shirt is bigger than the previous dolman shirts, print is nice. The medallion looks good, isn't as heavy as I thought it would be. I don't have an original so I can't compare. But I do like that the design is on both sides.

So no problems at all.

Just got a reply from CDJapan, the lady said they will contact Midi Nette and Moi dix Mois for further information about the new goods, they will need to confirm with them first in order to place the new items on cdjapan. She said they sold their items in previous years, but still need to wait for their response. Hope they will have them. My friends in Canada and US told me that they ordered the birthday concert T shirt last year after March 19, just one week after March 19 and received the item on April.

Well, you know the art of the deal is paramount with me (to coin a phrase) so if CDJ will get it to you cheaper when the ledger is settled, feel free to roll the dice with them. But ceteris paribus I think I'd prefer to give my business directly to Midi:Nette now that we have the option.

By the way, apropos of nothing, those clowns at CDJapan/Neowing shut down their ebook service without giving people any way to keep their ebooks. Not that I had many, but "begrudging every penny" is written somewhere in my personal Magna Carta XD
