Someone needs to hurry up and get it so that I can hurry up and not read the reviews they have to write

it's weird, I downloaded Nocturnal Opera the same day it came out xD
My copy of NO arrived at my house either on or before the release date. It was bizarre. So I guess that shipped early for some reason, which is why it leaked so early.

I refuse to listen to any rips though. When I go out and buy the album, putting the CD into the try for the first time is a sacred act!

Hmm..maybe Mana implemented some special hypnotic spell which melted people's brains if they tried to upload the album.

Same here. New releases are virgin to me--I could never spoil the first official listen like that.

Also, I'm an audiophile by most people's standards, so the fun in listening to a rip would be ruined by the knowledge that it's probably lower quality than it should be. I don't understand how audiophilia isn't the norm though. Why would you want to listen to anything that is less than its best? [/digression]

Good to know I'm alone in my obsessive-compulsive listening standards! ;)

yeah i debated with myself for 2 days wether or not i should download it and i ultimately decided no, its to much of a fun and anxious time to put the CD in for the first time, and hear all the songs for the first time while looking at the book.

[when i do it, i usually tell everyone in the house that they ABSOLUTELY CANNOT disturb me until i've listened to the CD twice. xD

Oh, I see I'm not the only one like that XD When I receive the CD I close myself alone in my room and I'll have to listen to it without disruptions a few times. Then I can open the door XD (all that after I have taken many photos of the package, Cd packed, unpacked, booklet...u.U) (Then I keep the box the cd came in inside the wardrobe...when thinking about it...I may be a bit of a maniac o.O)

LOL I'm the same way... especially with Moi dix Mois' full albums. I really like to digest the entire work as a whole thoroughly, especially after having waited so long for it to arrive!

Sounds like we all have similar practices. It probably stems from the fact that Moi dix Mois CDs aren't nearly as easy to obtain as American ones are (for those living in the US).
