Yeah maybe its a matter of mother language. French and Japanese are so different( okay, French is differet of every single other language), it's not the same grammatical logic(Japanese one is way more easy). And I'm used to study roman languages like Spanish,Galician and of course French so I have some liguistic hints like "Oh this word looks like this word, etc.) but in Japanese there ar no words that look like the words I know. I'm not sure if ti does make sense. ::meev::

i tried to learn French. I was learning it for several months at uni and i didn't understand how to read it, how to make a sentence in French and HOW pronounce your words XD. It is because my mother tongue is just too different from French!

There are some the same or similar words (and often, bad ones ::meev:: ) in Japanese and my own language XDDD. And there are words that sound the same but have a very different meaning^^ And grammar is quite similar too XD. so almost everything in Japanese grammar makes sense to me XDDD. So, i wish a couple of years later i will be able to speak it well, cause now i am still learning XD.
I really don't understand how it comes those languages grammar are similar, cause Lithuanian is a European language... But gramatically it differs from other European languages so much... and it is nearly impossible for ppl from otehr countries to learn it ::meev:: .

Nobody can stand Joy, MissUMana. Just grin and bear it. She'll be off for her cigarette soon. Perhaps someone can 'accidentally' lock her out...

Glad to know she's hateful to everybody! Why on earth did he choose her of all people? How can you possibly be called Joy and be such a pain?

She's a receptionist?
I thought she was a nurse ::meev::

I think she has done nursing too... ::hora::

Not any more though, I hope.

She always turns on the charm for potential employers- that's how she got hired. Says some pretty dreadful things behind their backs, of course, but in front of them she morphs into Mother Theresa.

You're welcome :D

I don't get this joy-discussion XDDDD

I learned Latin and French in school as well...... so Roman languages aren't such a big deal for me when it comes to reading...
Japanese is very different... The basic grammar is easy, but later on I got the feeling: How do ppl manage to use the right expression right away? XDDDDDD

(Linguistic point: German is a synthetic type of language, English analytic and Japanese agglutinative type. So when I translate aethetics I begin with turning an agglutinative language into a synthetic and then into an analytic. These types make it also hard for babelfish to translate well XDDD
I have no clue, but maybe Lithuanian is also agglutinative.... so maybe this makes it easier for you? But I am not sure about this....)

You're not suggesting she's Irish, are you? When I lived in Ireland, 50% of the adult female population seemed to be a nurse or ex-nurse!

She's the deceitful type allright. Thank God Mana never overheard what she had to say about his weird tastes and habits!

He will one of these days. It's why Joy's been through so many jobs- sooner or later she'll start gabbing away without realising that the employer she's currently spreading muck about is standing right behind her.

Half of what she says is just made up, anyway. I knew her in a job she had a whie ago. Called one of her colleagues frigid and a dirty pervert in the same sentence, which is quite an achievement.

I don't know if shes Irish. All I know is that I feel sorry for whichever country has the misfortune of having her as a citizen.

I do not know what agglutinative is, i am bad when it comes to such things XD. Well, Lithuanian is very highly and extensively inflected, we have a lot of different word forms and the order of words in a sentence is completely free, so everything depends on what flexion you choose XD. foreigners usually can't do that XD.

i am not sure if it makes sense XD.

It actually is bad that i have to translate Japanese into English and then into Lithuanian, because there aren't such things as a normal lithuanian-japanese dictionary ::weepy:: . So i translate the words into English, then translate them into Lithuanian and then make sentences XD.

anyway, it is very OT XDD

Joy Chat is very cute. This is what humor sounds like when it's not filled with expletives and vulgarity, apparently.

I should take note of this, because when I described my encounter with Joy after meeting her at the Midi Nette offices last year to a friend of mine, this is how the conversation went:

Me: "Mana's got this new receptionist named Joy, and God, she is such a stupid bitch. I asked her when Mana would be back in the office and she was all 'durrrrrr, I don't know because I'm an incompetent idiot, durrrrr.' Seriously, she was so clueless and yet somehow condescending at the same time."

My friend: "So what did you do?"

Me: "I punched her in the cunt." :|

I demand to know more about this Joy person! ::shifty::

Fear was much nicer than Joy is, and at least you could wait in Fear, which was much better when the heating broke down in that half ruined building where the Midi-Nette offices are located. And having to wait with Joy means you'll not only catch your death but you're bound to turn into a misanthropist after 10 minutes of sitting there in her presence. Even Mother Theresa couldn't help but hating her!

I thought it sounded interesting. Like a non-alcoholic Margarita or something.
