Maybe they're basing it on the low-quality live versions we've heard of Dead Scape and that other one which I can't remember the name of right now. Which is, of course, a great basis to judge an entire album that hasn't even come out yet on.

Hum. I don't think we know the same kind of angelica. It's true that its flowers are small and white tending to yellow but in fact, they grow in cupels. So, they look like they are great. I'd say 5 to 10 cm. The plant in itself is great. Some species can be 3 meters high. It's not a delicate plant. It's a robust one with not much diseases. The aspect of the plant is a little unpleasant. It looks like some kind of emlock, the poison. To such an extent that my mum, when I was a kid, forbidded us to approach them. The only way to make sure it is well angelica is to crease a leaf. Like you said, the angelica has a marvellous scent though the emlock has an unpleasant one. They are not all wild. You can cultivate them, to use them as condiment, for instance. Or to make candied angelica. It's an easy plant to cultivate, robust, few care to bring.
I like wildflowers too but angelicas recall me the severe voice of my mum telling me "don't touch. It could be poison !" and my dad creasing a leaf to make sure ^^
