my heart goes with merveilles...but if there had been one more album with the last three singles on it...it most likely would have been that one

but i still adore voyage and bara no seidou infinitly...memoire has its moments for me too though

I voted Memoire because it's the album I can actually listen straight through without a complaint. :)

I wondered when a poll like this would surface.

I have to say, I'm rather partial to Voyage. While I love all the individual songs on Merveilles so much more, Voyage just works better as an album. And I'm ashamed to say, I still have yet to hear all of Bara no Seidou. (I refuse to download any more songs so that at least some will be new when I hear the album)

I pick Bara no Seidou. It just fits what I like more than any of the others.

If I had to list them from best to worst, It'd go like this:
1. Bara no Seidou
2. Merveilles
3. Memoire
4. Voyage

Now, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE each of the albums for what they are, but I prefer to listen to some more than others. I mean, I *adore* the Voyage sound (MADRIGAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!), and I *love* Memoire (Seraph, Seraph, Seraph!), but I prefer the good ol' WONDERS and the fabulous ROSE CHURCH. However, I think they are all excellent albums from my very favorite band--ever. Thanks, M+M.

Bara no Seidou, by far, I barely even listen to any other Malice Mizer besides that, the singles with Klaha and Memoire. It's simply because I don't find Voyage or Merveilles to be that malicious or miserable, as the name implies. Gackt just wasn't my cup of tea with M+M.

As Kazuo said, Gackt didn't make Malice Mizer sound "malicious" at all, as the band name says. Klaha did a better job at that. They're still a really good band, and it's still heartbreaking up to today that they broke up.

I hardly listen to Bara no Seidou. I don't know what it is that just doesn't seem to catch my attention as easily as Merveilles and Voyage did. It's still a good album though, and hopefully I'll be able to like it more in the future. Voyage is a good album after all. Don't feel ashamed about not listening completely to Bara no Seidou !!! ^-^ At least you're a loyal fan !!!

It's impossible for me to choose. Memoire has its good points, Voyage has its good points, merveilles has its good points and Bara no Seidou has its good points. I can't think of any bad points in any of them though... :/

Bara no Seidou is simply heavenly, I love every single song on it...this album is what made me think that Mana's a genius! :)

The album is pure genius by composition standards.. but I wouldn't give all the credit to Mana, Kozi composed too. So I credit the album to Malice Mizer, not Mana.

Hmm..maybe so, but it doesn't necassarily have to sound malicious to be malicious or miserable. Their concept is "what is human?" So I guess you have to keep in mind that there's other human qualities than malice and misery. For example songs like Brise and Ju te Veux...qualities of happiness and love, are also in a human; and are pulled off quite well. And then you have Le Ciel - sadness, and S CONCIOUS - suffering. It's a largely varied album to their concept and in by no means IMO should be criticised in the way of "but his voice wasn't malicious-sounding"...but over all as Naja has once stated to me, paraphrasing, "If their overall conclusion of 'What is human?' is malicious misery, then they're genious'" and I whole-heartedly agree.

Oh and btw I voted for Memoire. :P

Bara no Seidou because it appeals the most to my personal taste in music and overall aesthetics. It is also the album that got me into MM. I'm not easily impressed by anything but the first time I heard Bara no Seidou I dropped everything I was doing, ran up to my CD player and stared at it like an idiot. Merveilles comes a close second, then Voyage and then Memoire.
