Jessica is okay. Not exactly one of my favorite songs but I don't mind listening to it. But me it's all about FILTH.

Jessica is a pretty good song. ^_^ Not one of my favorites but pretty good. But I am so totally lost as what the PV exactly is. O.o I don't get it at all.

JESSICA is a fun PV to watch! ^___^;
And it's fun to sing along to......

Hmmmm, what do people think about Audrey and Amber?

Audrey is probably one of my least favorite songs by them. It feels really uninspired and doesn't really go anywhere. The lyrics are interesting, but I don't really...get it. It just doesn't seem as tight as the rest of their material.

Amber, on the other hand, is really fantastic. From the lyrics to the way it's performed live to its nodding groove to the subtle guitar riffage to the quaint chorus melody, it's a wonderful song through the prolongued, ending twang that seems to go on forever.

Elec basically said everything I wanted to say so I'm going to say I agree with him.

Jessica I'm not so fond of, but it's probably because I have the PV but not eh mp3, so... haven't heard it too much.

I like both Audrey and Amber. :D Audrey is fun and bonucy...not amazing, but a nice listen. Amber I like a little better; it's really pretty and I love all the layers.

Do you have Windows Movie Maker? If you do you can upload it to the program and turn it into an mp3. I do that a lot with PV's I download.

I think any fan of Dir en grey, old or new, should read this. It gives alot of images about Vulgar and what they thought when making it.

http://www.centigrade-j.com/features/in ... ar_kyo.htm <--- Kyo's interview

http://www.centigrade-j.com/features/in ... _kaoru.htm <--- Kaoru's interview

It's funny that some of my favorite songs come from VULGAR. I'm not a huge fan of the album as a whole, but there are songs I like alot like Shokubeni and Marmalade Chainsaw. I think I need to be in a certain mood for it, as well as WtD although I find WtD more listenable throughout my day. Hm.. yeah, just some.. rambling from me. >_>

I found the Kaoru's interview very interesting. I thought it was interesting how he pointed out that VULGAR is basically what Dir en grey wanted to do the entire time and they were basically showing their true colors. In an attempt to do a style of music that isn't done there, to show people what repulses them. Quite an interesting theme. On a side note, I was trying to get that interview to work for a while yesterday and I couldn't get it work. I wonder why it seems to work now.

Same here! If I had to rank the albums, Vulgar wouldn't be at the top at all, but some of my favorite songs are from it nonetheless. And thanks for the interview links. :]

i <3 Merciless Cult... i love how Kyo screams... *__*

also... do the lyrics make sense to you?... or are they trying to be symbolic? oO; *shrug*

They gave English translations in the booklet. How accurate they are in regards to the original Japanese, I have no idea. (Nevermind, I gave a link that didn't actually have the English translations. I'm going insane.)

Kyo's lyrics always make sense to me... because they are symbolic. ;] Maybe I get them because I enjoy analyzing poetry, so I'm used to finding the meaning in limited words, but... yeah. Make sense to me

As said... Jessica I love to death. It is just perfectly placed in Kisou and I dunno... it has fun lyrics, fun melodies and is just fun. As fun as Deg can get anyway ^^/

I like Audry but I no love it </3 It has a nice chorus and I love the little bouncy guitar but ultimately, yes, it is flat.

Amber I love a lot. At first I didn't care for it honestly. I felt it was lacking compared to the rest of the album. I grew to love it more than a lot of songs on Vulgar. It just has that ... ending feeling. A goodbye. I guess...

I love the Jessica PV to bits, and even the lyrics are cool, but the song itself just... irks me. It's one of the few Diru songs I have an irrational dislike of. Maybe it's just too happy sounding for me :?

My favourite Diru songs would have to be (yes, I'm gonna list 'em):

Ugly, Umbrella, Byou[]Shin (Six Ugly version), Cage, Deity, Bottom of the Death Valley, Kr Cube, Obscure, Amber, Dead Tree... and like a million others. I don't feel like listing them all and I'm sure not everyone cares XD

Yes! It was the perfect ending for Vulgar. I <333 Amber.

Lol ! It would be quite a long list ! I love practically all their songs. It would be too hard to choose a most favorite.

Amber does have that goodbye feeling. I'm growing kind of attached to it ! o_O

Mostly because the band has some aspect that drew them to them, although the total package ended up not pleasing them. They gave Dir en grey a chance, and weren't pleased. There's a blurry line between giving a band a chance and griping at every release a group makes...so let's not jump to conclusions. ;)
