I'm a bass player also, but Toshiya has really disappointed me lately. Kaoru on the other hand, still has -some- flare that I can enjoy, so I chose him instead.

I lie everyone except kyo. I am sorry I have tried so hard to like his singing but I cannot. I do not mind his stage persona and I like D.E.G music but I cannot get over his voice. Even his range is bad.

I love them all. There is absolutely no way I could possibly choose between them. To me, they're all equally good at what they do, and are equally good-looking *cough*HOT*cough* and interesting...

But then they're my favourite band (along with Moi dix Mois, of course) so duh, I'd not be able to choose XD

Apparently you've never heard Kyo go up like.. multiple octaves in a matter of a second. I'd say that's a pretty good range. Kyo can go high.. and I mean high. Then he can take that, and go into a deep growl. Two opposite sides of the vocal spectrum there people, and that means a good range.

On some tracks on the new album he goes really, REALLY high and then the next second he does some of the most awesome growling I've ever heard.


Almost everyone I know who likes Dir en grey didn't like Kyo at first (including me) but when I understood his thing I fell totally in love with his singing.

yep ! I really like their new album ! I gotta say, his growling is really awesome. Especially Kodou. My most favorite song !

I didn't like Kyo that much at first. I thought his vocals were awesome, but I just wasn't really into him. It took me a year to finally get used to him. Now, I'm a huge fan of theirs !

My vote went to Shinya. Though I don't know a whole lot about the band, Shinya's shyness from video clips made me melt.
