Well, M+A said that they "received various opinions" and that "as a result, the plan [for the birthday surprise] has been cancelled". So it seems that some fans weren't happy about it, although I can't imagine what objections they could have had. I think it was a lovely idea.

Maybe its because Mana would be horribly upset if the show didn't go exactly as he planned. Or if anyone else had a hand in organizing because then it wouldn't be Total Produced by Mana. D:

It has been done before and he didn't mind. When M10M played in Germany in 2006 he was supposed to be presented with a birthday cake on stage, but the fans collected money and bought him a black cuckoo clock and the organiser agreed to secretly change the event, so he was presented with the clock instead of a cake. Mana was so happy he cried.

Maybe they didn't object, but had new ideas of their own. And since it gets hard to justify why you're doing this person's suggestion but not that person's they just gave up on it.

really sometimes fan are stupid v_v i mean why do they always have to complain (well i do complain a lot about concert and all but still XD) this was a nice idea and one person though about it and why is it so complicate for everyone to just agree or decided not to do it?!

I mean i don't know why it's canceled but if it's because fans juste said 'this may be better' or 'this isn't good enough' blabla then it's stupid, i'm sur Mana would have enjoyed to roses a lot ._.!

ha well i shouldn't think about that and go back to my studies ~!
